A three-dimensional structure is provided which is obtained by molding a volatile chemical-containing resin composition into a plate form, wherein the three-dimensional structure includes through-holes penetrating therethrough from the front to the back thereof, the through-holes have peripheries having a shape selected from polygonal, circular, circular arc and spiral shapes when the three-dimensional structure is viewed from the front, and the peripheries of the through-holes are formed on a single plane or on a smoothly curved imaginary surface.

Effective application of enough of the contents of an aerosol container to carpets and floor coverings to give thorough extermination of insects and mites infesting such floor coverings is accomplished by the method of this invention, comprising the steps of leading the contents from a stem to an applicator part formed on a lateral side of the aerosol container and allowing the contents to exude from an application face of the applicator part. This method is worked advantageously by an application type aerosol apparatus which comprises an applicator prop disposed in the vertical direction on the outside of the aerosol container, having the applicator part fixed in the longitudinal direction on the outer surface thereof, having a guide chamber for the contents of the aerosol solution formed on the inner surface of the applicator part and a guide inlet communicating with the stem of the aerosol container connected to the applicator prop and adapted to enable the incoming contents to exude from the outer surface of the applicator prop.

Aerosol applicator and method

For operating an industrial robot, first, second and third flags are selectively generated as an indication of first, second and third teaching modes, respectively. A position signal representative of the path to be traced by the robot arm is sampled at a higher rate in response to the first flag to produce a first train of samples or at a lower sampling rate in response to the second and third flags to produce a second train of samples. A sample between successive samples of the second train is interpolated when the second flag is generated and combined with the samples of the second train. When the third flag is generated, a sample between successive samples of the second train is approximated. The robot arm is controlled in accordance with the first train of samples in the presence of the first flag or in accordance with the combined samples or approximated samples in the presence of the second and third flags. The first teaching mode is selected when the path to be traced contains many bends and curves and the second and third teaching modes are selected for causing the robot arm to trace a relatively smooth path without being adversely affected by operator's hand vibrations.
