A light emitting method of an acridinium ester, comprising reacting said acridinium ester and a superoxide anion, and a method of detecting a substance to be examined, comprising detecting a light emitted by reacting a superoxide anion with an acridinium ester used as a label am described. It is possible to carry out the reaction not under strongly alkaline conditions but around the neutral point and to generate strong luminescence which is stable over a long period of time.

Luminescence by reacting an acridinium ester with superoxide

A light emitting method of an acridinium ester, comprising reacting said acridinium ester and a superoxide anion, and a method of detecting a substance to be examined, comprising detecting a light emitted by reacting a superoxide anion with an acridinium ester used as a label are described. Light emitting method of acridinium derivative and method of detecting

A method is described for measuring the amount of analyte present in a sample containing the analyte using a homogeneous amperometric immunoassay. The analyte is chemically bonded to a suitable carrier molecule, which is also chemically bonded to an electroactive molecule. The electroactive molecule, such as ferrocene carboxylic acid, contains a redox center which is capable of transferring a charge to an electrode. A preferred carrier molecule is bovine serum albumin (BSA), while suitable analytes include digoxin, theophylline and HCG. The immunoassay is conveniently performed by applying a voltage to a set of electrodes.

Homogeneous amperometric immunoassay

A method is described for measuring the amount of analyte present in a sample containing the analyte using a homogeneous amperometric immunoassay. The analyte is covalently bonded to a suitable carrier molecule, which is also covalently bonded to an electroactive molecule. An electrochemical measuring apparatus which essemtially comprises an asymmetric semipermeable membrane mounted on an immobilized enzyme membrane of an enzyme electrode, said asymmetric semipermeable membrane being essentially formed of a thin semipermeable layer exposed to the outside for contact with a liquid to be measured and an inner adjacent thick porous layers, and can measure an organic ingredient such as glucose contained in blood or serum with high sensitivity in a short time and moreover has a prominent durability.
