A speaker recognition system for assessing the identity of a speaker through a speech signal based on speech uttered by said speaker is provided. The system includes a framing module that subdivides the speech signal over time into a set of frames, and a filtering module that analyzes the frames of the set to discard frames affected by noise and frames which do not comprise a speech, based on a spectral analysis of the frames. A feature extraction module extracts audio features from frames which have not been discarded, and a classification module processes the audio features extracted from the frames which have not been discarded for assessing the identity of the speaker.

Speaker recognition method and system

A method for providing a context-based service in a communication network includes: at a context server cooperating with the network, receiving a query generated from a service application, indicating that the service application needs to receive from the context server a set of context information when a query condition is fulfilled; at the context server, generating an update rule indicating that a terminal has to transmit the context information to the context server when an update condition is fulfilled; transmitting the update rule from the context server to the terminal; detecting the context information and transmitting them to the terminal; at the terminal, receiving the context information and transmitting them to the context server when the update condition is fulfilled; and at the context server, forwarding the context information to the service application, thus allowing the service application to implement the context-based service.

Method and communication system for providing a context-based communication service

A server of a communication network provides a service to a plurality of users. In the server, a service logic execution environment is stored. The service logic execution environment includes an event router and a service application, which service application includes at least a first component and a second component. The first component is provided with an event handler and the second component is provided with an action handler. The service logic execution environment further includes a flow descriptor which includes a relation between the event handler and the action handler. The event router is adapted to receive an event from the first component and to forward such an event to the second component according to the relation.

Communication server with a service logic execution environment

Providing a context-based service to a terminal, including: a) receiving a query from a service application, the query indicating that a context server should perform an action when a query condition is fulfilled, the query condition referring to one or more attributes of derived context information indicative of a context of the terminal; b) generating a query evaluation trigger indicating that the query condition should be evaluated; c) identifying raw context information to derive the derived context information; d) generating a calculation trigger indicating that the derived context information should be calculated when the raw context information is updated; e) receiving an update of the raw context information and, according to the calculation trigger, calculating a new value of the derived context information; and f) according to the query evaluation trigger, evaluating the query condition by using the new value and, if the query condition is fulfilled, performing the action.
