The apparatus comprises a transfer element for transferring the flat disc, a forming element for forming the flat disc to conform it in a cup shape with a pleating on a lateral perimeter surface thereof, an insertion element for inserting the pleated cup inside a waterproof cup as well as a retaining element for continuously retaining the flat disc in a predetermined position at least in the transfer and forming elements and during the transfer thereof between the transfer and forming elements.
