A system is described comprising an actuator with a piston linearly movable and a needle shutter connected to the piston for regulating the injection flow of molten material from a nozzle into a mold. By a supply circuit pressurized fluid is brought to the piston to move it back and forth. A solenoid valve is connected to the supply circuit and configured so that in resting condition it leaves open a fluid drainage path for bringing the shutter to a closing position.

System for operating a fluid actuator

A method is described for operating an actuator adapted to move via a pressurized fluid circuit a valve pin of an injection nozzle for molten material within a mold, wherein the valve pin moves from a closing position, where no molten material passes through the nozzle, to an opening position, where molten material passes through the nozzle, and the actuator comprises a chamber and a piston that is movably mounted in the chamber, linearly displaced by the thrust of the fluid and connected to the valve pin to move it. The valve pin is moved by injecting or extracting a predetermined amount of fluid into/from the chamber.

Method and system for operating a fluid actuator

A system is disclosed for driving an actuator which comprises a chamber, a shutter of an injection nozzle for molten material for injection molding, and a piston translatable inside the chamber to actuate a shutter. Means are provided for the transfer of a predetermined amount of fluid between the outside and inside of the chamber, so as to bring/move the shutter from a closing position, in which there is no passage of molten material, towards an opening position, in which there is passage of molten material, by injecting the predetermined amount of fluid from the outside into the chamber or by injecting the predetermined amount of fluid from the chamber towards the outside, or vice versa.

A method and apparatus for producing hollow articles made of injection moulded plastic material by a mould having a die within which there is inserted a core, and at least one injector including a pin valve displaceable between a closing position and an opening position for injecting the pressurized plastic material into a space comprised between the die and the core. During the injection, any flexural deflection of the core is detected and the pin valve of the or of each injector is displaced in a controlled fashion to adjust a pressure and a flow rate of the injected plastic material, so as to reduce or eliminate such deflection of the core.

The shutter () is moved by inserting or removing the predetermined amount of fluid into/from the chamber ().

Apparatus for injection molding of plastic materials comprising a mold including at least one plate, a hot runner distributor of the fluid plastic material, at least one injector and an actuator for controlling the opening and the closing of the injector, supported by the distributor and whose cooling is carried out by means of thermal exchange contact with the plate. A device is described for adjusting the linear position of one or more shutters () in an injection moulding system. The device comprises a body, comprising a cavity in which there can axially slide a movable element, and an adjustment element for adjustment of the axial position of the body with respect to a plate. The adjustment element is rotatably mounted between the body and the plate and comprises a threaded portion on which a corresponding thread of the body and/or of the plate is engaged.

A nozzle terminal for injectors of plastic material injection molding apparatus, includes an inner tubular body or tip and a ring nut. The tip includes a radially inner element made of a first material and a radially outer element made of a second material arranged at contact with the radially inner element at an intermediate portion thereof terminating at a distance from the distal end thereof. The ring nut fully covers the radially outer element, insulating it from the environment.

A nozzle terminal for injectors of plastic material injection moulding apparatus, includes a tubular tip defining a flow passage for the injected plastic material and including a radially inner element made of a first abrasion resistant material, an intermediate element made of a second high thermal conductivity material, and a radially outer element made of a third corrosion resistant material. The radially inner, intermediate and radially outer elements are joined to each other in intimate mutual contact, and the radially outer element fully covers the intermediate element thus insulating it from the environment.
