A molding unit for a plant for blow-molding plastic containers (), particularly bottles, from respective parisons () is equipped with an interchangeable mold () having at least one cavity () for blow-molding a respective container (), and at least two stretching rods () mobile along a predetermined line () to engage respective parisons () and to axially deform the parisons () themselves; the stretching rods () being selectively mobile according to the number and/or position of the molding cavities () of the mold () mounted on the molding unit at a given time.

An apparatus () for making plastic containers by blow-molding parisons comprises: a mold () having at least one molding cavity; a base () mounted over the mold (), forming at least one passage () connected to a high-pressure fluid source; a blow nozzle () forming at least one conduit and connected to a bottom face () of the base () to be positioned between the base () and the mold () in such a way that the conduit is in fluid communication with the passage () to receive the high-pressure fluid and convey it into the molding cavity; fastening means for coupling and uncoupling the blow nozzle () to and from the base (); at least one pin () protruding from the nozzle () to be inserted into a respective through hole in the base () with an end portion () of it positioned above a top face () of the base (); a fastening element () connected to the base () to be movable from an unlocked position, where it does not interfere with the pin (), to a locked position where it is inserted in an end groove () defined by the end portion () of the pin (), and vice versa.

Apparatus and a method for making plastic containers by blow-moulding parisons

A moulding unit for a plant for blow-moulding plastic containers () from respective parisons () comprises: two half-moulds (), movable relative to each other between a position of opening and a position of closing at least one cavity () for blow-moulding a respective container (); and a locking device () for locking the two half-moulds () in the closed position, the locking device () comprising two first fastening elements () which are moved to, and normally held in, a locked position by at least one elastic actuating element ().
