A braking system for vehicles comprising &#x2014;a manual actuator device, operable by means of a lever and/or pedal, operatively connected to at least a first braking device acting on a brake disc or drum, so as to exercise a braking action, &#x2014;an automatic actuator device, operatively connected to said manual actuator device and/or to said first braking device, &#x2014;at least one command panel which supervises the functioning of the braking system, said command panel being operatively connected to the automatic actuator device and being programmed so that when the manual actuator device is operated, the panel commands the operation of the automatic actuator device so as to be able to: &#x2014;increase the overall braking action of the braking system, further operating the first braking device or further braking devices provided in said system and acting on further brake discs or drums, &#x2014;control the braking action of the braking system so as not to further operate the first braking device or further braking devices of the system, &#x2014;reduce the overall braking action imposed by means of the manual actuator device, directly countering the thrust action exercised on the lever and/or on the pedal.

Automatically controlled braking system

A floating caliper () for a disc brake comprises a first half-caliper (), which houses a reaction piston (), a second half-caliper (), which houses an action piston () and locking means for locking the action piston () in a preset parking position. The reaction piston () is elastically yielding when the braking action acting on it exceeds a preset parking action threshold which corresponds to said parking position wherein the locking means lock the action piston ().

A braking system with a brake pump are described. The brake pump may have a first and a second delivery circuit fluidically connectable to at least a first and a second braking device. The first delivery circuit may have an indirect stage fluidically connectable to the first braking device and a direct stage intercepted by a first control valve, fluidically connectable alternately to a braking simulator and to the at least one second braking device. The second delivery circuit may be intercepted by the first control valve so as to actuate the second braking device alternately to the direct stage of the first delivery circuit.

A braking system for vehicles may have a pilot pump fluidically connected to a hydraulic actuator device. The hydraulic actuator device has a by-pass, configured to connect or disconnect fluidically a first actuation chamber and a delivery duct, where a movable septum is connected to a motor device. The movable septum places the first actuation chamber in communication with the by-pass and with a second actuation chamber, to a braking correction condition. The motor device is activated to translate the movable septum so that the first actuation chamber is fluidically separated from the by-pass and from the second actuation chamber. The second actuation chamber, fluidically connected to the delivery duct, controls the actuation of the braking device, excluding the action imposed by the user through the fluid under pressure in the first actuation chamber.
