A braking system for vehicles may have a control unit for two brake groups operatively connected to electromechanical actuators for each brake group through a relative piloting device. Each control unit may be powered by a power source and being galvanically isolated from other power sources. Each control unit may be programmed to implement, via a piloting device, a standard braking strategy in case of detection of a standard operation of each brake group and a fault braking strategy, if it detects an electrical fault of one or more of the brake groups.

A braking system for vehicles has a pilot pump with a manual actuation device, which is fluidically connected to an absorber device which simulates the driving resistance offered by at least one braking device. The system has at least one control unit operatively connected to at least one sensor and to the manual actuator device and is programmed to actuate the braking device via the actuator device when it receives from the sensors a braking action request signal. The control unit is programmed so as to correct the braking action requested by the user, actuating the manual actuator device so as to avoid blocking of one or more wheels or the occurrence of instability of the vehicle during braking. The control unit is programmed to induce on the manual actuation device at least one vibration when it corrects the braking action requested by the user.

Braking system for brake by wire vehicles provided with hydraulic feedback simulator, and actuation method of a braking system for vehicles

A method for detecting malfunctions of a motor vehicle electro-actuated brake apparatus may include the steps of providing, in an electronic control unit, a functional control block and a first functional block having a numerical model representative of the electro-actuated brake caliper. The method may also include providing a target signal to the functional control block for generating the control signal to operate the electro-actuated brake caliper. The method may also include providing the target signal to the first functional block for generating a first signal. In the method, the first signal may be compared with a feedback signal for generating an error signal to be sent to the electronic control unit. Further, the method may include performing, by the second functional block, an error validation check to provide information on the operating state of the electro-actuated brake caliper to the electronic control unit.

Method for detecting malfunctions of an electro-actuated brake apparatus of a motor vehicle

One embodiment of a braking system for vehicles may have a first brake group and a second brake group. The first and second brake groups may have respective braking devices and electro-hydraulic actuator devices operatively connected to the first braking device. The system may also have an interconnection branch between first and the second hydraulic actuation ducts, provided with a control valve. The system may also have at least one control unit that may be programmed to actuate the control valve to control the ducts and fluidly connect the ducts.

A brake system for vehicles may have at least one front automatic actuator device, operatively connected to a manual actuator device by means of a first control unit, and to at least one braking device of a first axle.
