An integrated turbomachine is described, comprising: a casing; an electric motor and a driven turbomachine component housed in the casing; a rotating shaft drivingly connecting the electric motor and the driven turbomachine component; a thrust bearing and a radial bearing rotatingly supporting the shaft; an axial locking device housed inside the casing, for applying a thrust to the shaft, parallel to the rotation axis (A-A) of the shaft, and comprised of an actuator member, configured to selectively activate and/or deactivate the axial locking device.

A motor-compressor unit for sub-sea applications, including a pressure casing, and an electric motor housed in a motor compartment formed in the pressure casing and a compressor housed in a compressor compartment formed in the pressure casing. A shaft drivingly connects the electric motor and the compressor. At least one magnetic bearing rotatingly supports the shaft and a control system is provided for controlling the magnetic bearing. The control system is housed in a control system compartment structurally connected to and supported by the pressure casing.

A thrust bearing comprises an electromagnetic stator with a stator surface and a rotor disk with a rotor surface facing the stator surface. The rotor disk comprises a radially inner portion made of a first material directly and exclusively connected to a radially outer portion made of a second material. The first material is a corrosion resistant metal or metal alloy and the second material is a ferromagnetic metal or metal alloy.

A centrifugal compressor for processing a wet gas. The centrifugal compressor includes: a casing; and least one compressor stage comprising at least one impeller rotatingly arranged in the casing and provided with an impeller hub and a plurality of impeller blades, each impeller blade having a suction side and a pressure side. The at least one compressor stage comprises at least one droplet breaking arrangement configured for promoting breakup of liquid droplets flowing through the compressor stage.

A centrifugal compressor including: a casing; at least one impeller supported for rotation in the casing and provided with a hub, a shroud and an impeller eye; an impeller-eye sealing arrangement, for sealing the impeller in the region of said impeller eye. A motor-compressor includes a compressor, an electric motor directly connected to the compressor, magnetic bearings and one gas support located adjacent to a magnetic bearing to seal and support an end of the compressor's rotor. The compressor and the electric motor are integrated in a single unit, being housed in a single box or casing.

Overhung axial compressor, chemical reactor and method for compressing a fluid. The overhung axial compressor includes a casing configured to be vertically split along a vertical axis for access to an inside of the casing and a removable cartridge. The removable cartridge is configured to fit inside the casing and to be detachably attached to the casing. The removable cartridge includes a shaft disposed along a horizontal axis, the shaft being configured to rotate about the horizontal axis, a bearing system attached to the removable cartridge and configured to rotationally support a first end of the shaft, and plural blades disposed toward a second end of the shaft such that the second end is overhung inside the casing. The compressor also includes a guide vane mechanism configured to connect to the removable cartridge, the guide vane mechanism being configured to adjust a flow of a fluid to the plural blades.
