A voltage conversion apparatus for converting from a control voltage to a supply voltage and an apparatus for converting from a supply voltage to a control voltage are described. The supply voltage is designed to power, through a coaxial cable, a data communication device, and the coaxial cable is suitable for transmitting said supply voltage signal and at least one data signal associated with said data communication device. A conversion means of the conversion apparatus is configured to convert from the control voltage to the supply voltage comprising conversion means configured to convert from a first value of control voltage Vpand from a second value of control voltage Vpto a first value of supply voltage Vaand, respectively, to a second value of supply voltage Va. Said first value of control voltage Vpand said second value of control voltage Vpare values of control voltage for controlling a device that is distinct from such a data communication device.

A near-real time encoding of a signal comprising at least a video signal is disclosed. The encoding comprises acquiring the video signal included in a linear stream, the linear stream comprising at least two contents without a logical distinction between them, dividing the video signal into at least a first segment and a second segment of respective preset durations, at least one of the segments being capable of containing at least a part of said two contents and comprising recomposing information, executing a first encoding of said first segment using an off-line encoding to obtain a first encoded segment, executing a second encoding of said second segment using an off-line encoding to obtain a second encoded segment, said second encoding being executed at least partially in parallel with the first encoding, recomposing, using said recomposing information, said first and second encoded segments to obtain a continuous encoded signal.
