A method for burying a pipeline in a bed of a body of water which includes: making a trench with a bottom surface in a bed of a body of water via a bed working vehicle advanced in an advancing direction; advancing a floating unit in the body of water; releasing a pipeline in the body of water via a tensioner and along a lay device tilted in an adjustable manner and constrained to the floating unit; guiding the pipeline to the bottom surface of the trench via a guide vehicle advanced on the bed of the body of water; and controlling the tensioner, the floating unit, the lay device, the bed working vehicle, and the guide vehicle to minimize stress along the pipeline.

Method and system for burying a pipeline in a bed of a body of water

A method of laying a pipeline in the bed of a body of water advancing a digging assembly along a pipeline laid along a path on the bed of the body of water, and digging a trench along the path in the bed of the body of water by means of the digging assembly, so a portion of pipeline settles onto the bottom of the trench. The method also includes acquiring, by means of the digging assembly, data related to the bathymetric profile of the portion of pipeline laid on the bottom of the trench, and comparing the acquired data with a set of permissible values. Further, the method includes emitting an error signal when the acquired data does not fall within the set of permissible values.

Digging method and assembly for laying a pipeline in the bed of a body of water

A method of laying a pipeline on the bed of a body of water includes constructing, on a laying vessel, a pipeline having pipe sections of a designated or given thickness, and thicker pipe sections distributed along the pipeline; moving the laying vessel forward and laying the pipeline in the body of water as the pipeline is constructed; and propelling a train, configured to plug the pipeline, in steps inside the pipeline laid on the bed of the body of water; the step travel of the train being related to the position of the thicker pipe sections, and to the touchdown point of the pipeline on the bed of the body of water.
