A laundry drying appliance () includes a cabinet () having a top (), a rotating drum () accommodated within a tub () housed in the cabinet, and a laundry drying air circulation system for circulating drying air. The drying air circulation system includes a drying air return duct () through which drying air coming from drum flows. The drying air return duct has an outlet (), and a drying air delivery duct () through which the drying air is sent back to the drum. The drying air delivery duct has an inlet (). The top forms a ready-to-mount moisture condensing module ready to be mounted to the cabinet for dehydrating drying air used to dry laundry within the drying drum of the laundry drying appliance. The top has a drying air inlet () couplable to the outlet of the drying air return duct, a drying air outlet () couplable to the inlet of the drying air delivery duct, fluid passageways defined inside the top from said drying air inlet to the drying air outlet for the passage of the drying air to be dehydrated. Moisture condensing means are arranged inside the fluid passageways.

A top () is adapted to match and close from above a cabinet () of a laundry drying appliance (). The top is formed as a ready-to-mount part ready to be mounted to the cabinet and forms a moisture condensing module for dehydrating drying air used to dry laundry within a drying drum of the laundry drying appliance. The top has a drying air inlet (), a drying air outlet (), fluid passageways defined thereinside from said drying air inlet to said drying air outlet for the passage of the drying air to be dehydrated and moisture condensing means arranged inside the fluid passageways.

A flavoring device includes at least one flavoring casing having an air inlet opening arranged for allowing air to enter the flavoring casing, a flavoring air outlet opening arranged for allowing air to pass to a cooking chamber, and a flavoring air path fluidly connecting the air inlet opening to the flavoring air outlet opening. The flavoring casing houses, at least while in operation: a heating element arranged in the flavoring air path, and a flavoring substance rack arranged at least partially in the flavoring air path downstream the heating element. The heating element is housed spaced apart from the flavoring substance rack in such a way that, in operation, heat is transferred from the heating element to the flavoring substance rack mainly by air flowing inside the flavoring casing from the air inlet opening to the flavoring air outlet opening through the flavoring air path.

A laundry drying appliance having a cabinet, a treatment chamber inside the cabinet, a drying air recirculation path for conveying air into/out from the treatment chamber, a drying air propeller driven by a drying air propeller motor for causing the drying air to recirculate along the recirculation path, a drying air moisture condensing and heating system the drying air recirculation path for dehydrating the moisture-laden drying air leaving the treatment chamber and heating the dehydrated drying air before it re-enters into the treatment chamber, a laundry drying cycle selector for selecting one out of a number of default laundry drying cycles, a control unit to control the machine operation by operating the drying propeller at a default average speed corresponding to the selected drying cycle, and a command input operable by the user to change an average working speed of the drying air propeller.

Appliance for drying laundry with enhanced operation flexibility

A method of controlling the operation of a flavoring device () associated with a cooking chamber () of a cooking oven (') for treating food stored therein is proposed. The flavoring device () comprises at least one casing (), at least one air path () traversing said casing () and fluidly connecting at least one air inlet opening () of said casing () to at least one air outlet opening () of said casing (). The method comprises: a) providing one between a flavoring substance () and a smoking substance () in said at least one air path (); b) selecting () one between a flavoring process and a smoking process, and c) controlling (--) a heating in said casing () according to the selected one between said flavoring process and said smoking process.

A method is provided for controlling a laundry dryer including a fan motor () for driving a drying air stream fan () with a variable speed (vf) and a drum motor () for driving a laundry drum (). The method comprises the steps of setting a predetermined course for the speed (vd) of the drum motor (), maintaining the speed (vd) of the drum motor () according to the predetermined course for the speed (vd) of said drum motor (), detecting a power (Pd) or a current absorbed by the drum motor (), and controlling the speed (vf) of the fan motor () on the basis of the absorbed power (Pd) or current of the drum motor (). The speed (vf) of the fan motor () increases with a decreasing absorbed power (Pd) or current of the drum motor () and/or the speed (vf) of the fan motor () decreases with an increasing absorbed power (Pd) or current of the drum motor ().

Method for controlling a laundry dryer including a fan motor for driving a drying air stream fan with a variable speed

A laundry dryer is provided with a modular air recirculation subassembly fitted beneath a rotatable drum of the dryer. The subassembly has an air recirculation passage provided between an air supply passage and an air exhaust passage of the dryer. The air recirculation subassembly further has a flow directing flap at the juncture of the air inlet passage and the air recirculation passage to direct the recirculation air flow toward a heater and away from an inlet end of the air supply passage. The air recirculation subassembly may include a filter positioned across the air recirculation passage upstream of the heater, which filter is removable through the air exhaust passage. The subassembly may further include a heat exchanger to transfer heat from the warmer air exiting the exhaust passage to the cooler air entering the air supply passage, and a recirculation air flow regulating flap.

A laundry treatment apparatus, in particular a dryer () or washing machine having a drying function, includes a cabinet having a front wall, a rear wall, side walls and a base section. The base section has an internal side facing the interior of the cabinet and an external side exposed to the outside of the cabinet. A laundry storing chamber for treating laundry using process air (A), a process air loop for circulating the process air through the laundry storing chamber, and a heat pump system for dehumidifying and heating the process air are also provided. The heat pump system has a refrigerant loop comprising: a first heat exchanger () for heating a refrigerant and cooling the process air (A), a second heat exchanger () for cooling the refrigerant and heating the process air, a refrigerant expansion device, a compressor, and an auxiliary heat exchanger (). The auxiliary heat exchanger () is arranged at the external side of the base section.
