Ornaments for spectacles

In a method of manufacturing spectacles of the type which does not have a lens-holding frame and which has a single, wrap-around front lens structure that can extend laterally beyond the main visual regions, and which also has respective arms for the lateral support of the spectacles, predominant portions of the respective lateral arms of the spectacles are produced integrally with the front lens structure by a process for the forming of plastics material with which a semi-finished lens is produced, so that the spectacles are consequently produced in a single piece.

A device for spectacles, such as a lug for the articulation of a spectacle arm or a central nasal support bridge, to a lens, the lens has a pair of holes for the locking of the mount member, has a pair of bush members rigidly connected to each other and has respective axial holes, there being provided in the mount member a pair of pin-type appendages capable of being inserted into the respective holes subject to the introduction of these latter into the corresponding lens holes, such that each bush member is interposed between an inner surface of the lens hole and a corresponding outer surface of appendage. Each pin-type appendage has localized protuberances that deform the corresponding coupling surface. The fixing device has at least one relief protruding from the outer wall of each appendage and extending on a helical course in the axial direction of the appendage.

A lens for spectacles is described which is delimited by a first and a second lens surface which are spaced apart from and located opposite each other, the first surface being arranged to face towards the inner side of the spectacles, near the face of the user when the spectacles are worn, the second opposite surface facing towards the opposite outer side of the spectacles, first cross-sectional curves being defined on the lens by the intersection of the first and second lens surfaces with a plane which is transverse to the lens and intersects a straight line joining the eyes of the user, in which the first cross-sectional curves have negative curvature with the concavity directed towards the outer side of the spectacles.
