A vault for a weapon having a handle generally comprises a lock box defining a cavity having a front opening, a door hingly attached to the box, a slider assembly including a slider and a holster mounted to the slider adapted for holstering a weapon with the handle forward, wall guides guiding the slider in the box for sliding reciprocating movement in the front to rear direction, and links linking the door and the slider such that moving the door between the closed position and the open position moves the slider from the storage position wherein the weapon in the holster is within the cavity to the deployed position wherein the handle of a weapon in the holster protrudes from the opening for gripping by a user.

Gun vault with pop-up holster

A vault assembly generally comprises a lock box, an anchor bracket, and a locking member. The lock box includes a mounting wall having a plurality of outward extending hooks arranged in a spaced pattern and a locking opening. The anchor bracket includes a panel for attachment of the lock box including one or more locking openings and a plurality of joining openings for receiving the hooks. The locking member is disposed in the box and includes a locking shaft for insertion in the locking openings and a locking flange on the end to prevent withdrawal. The lock box mounting wall can be attached in a plurality of positions to either side of the panel.

Vault assembly

A method of providing and installing a door latching structure for operatively interconnecting an upper latching structure carried by a door and a lower actuator structure carried by the door, the upper latching structure located outside the door, and comprising providing a longitudinally elongated link sized for reception within the door and to extend into proximity to the latching structure, and to the actuator structure, the link operatively connected to the actuator structure; and providing a laterally extending link attached to an upper end portion of the longitudinally elongated link, the laterally extending link connectible to the latching structure to transfer longitudinal movement of the longitudinal link effected by the actuator structure to the latching structure, for operating same.
