A system includes a receiver. The receiver includes an input stage having an input and an output, and a first resistor coupled between the output of the input stage and the input of the input stage. The receiver also includes an output stage having an input and an output, wherein the input of the output stage is coupled to the output of the input stage, and a feedback path coupled between the output of the output stage and the input of the input stage, the feedback path including a second resistor.

Receivers for high density and low latency chip-to-chip links

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to control of a user device under a wet condition. In some aspects, a user device may determine whether the user device is operating under a wet condition; select, based at least in part on whether the user device is operating under the wet condition, a set of input components to control the user device, wherein the set of input components is selected from a plurality of different sets of input components; and configure a user interface of the user device according to the set of input components. Control of a user device under wet conditions

In certain aspects, a voltage regulator includes a pass device coupled between an input of the voltage regulator and an output of the voltage regulator. The voltage regulator also includes an amplifying circuit having a first input, a second input, and an output, wherein the first input is configured to receive a reference voltage, the second input is coupled to the output of the voltage regulator via a feedback path, and the output of the amplifying circuit is coupled to a gate of the pass device. The voltage regulator further includes a first current source coupled between a supply rail and the amplifying circuit, and a capacitor coupled between the first current source and the output of the voltage regulator.

Low-power voltage regulator with fast transient response

Systems, methods and apparatus for configuring a fingerprint sensor to operate in a capacitive sensing mode and an ultrasonic sensing mode are disclosed. A fingerprint sensor may be configured to operate in a capacitive sensing mode by driving a sensing electrode using a controller. In some implementations, an object positioned on or near the sensing electrode may be detected using the fingerprint sensor in the capacitive sensing mode, and the controller can drive electrodes of the fingerprint sensor differently to configure the fingerprint sensor to operate in an ultrasonic sensing mode. In some implementations, an applications processor may be instructed to authenticate a fingerprint of the object from image data obtained when the fingerprint sensor is operating in the ultrasonic sensing mode. In some implementations, a display of a mobile device containing the fingerprint sensor may be unlocked, or the mobile device may be woken up when the fingerprint is authenticated.

Hybrid capacitive and ultrasonic sensing

This disclosure describes controlling a variable delay system with a control signal generated in a phase-locked loop (PLL). Furthermore, aspects describe generating a compensation current based on a number of edges of pulses propagating through a variable delay line including multiple delay elements. The number of edges propagating through the variable delay is determined by computing a difference between a number of edges entering the variable delay line and a number of edges exiting the variable delay line. The compensation current is derived from a mirrored version of the current of the control signal of the PLL. Thus, the techniques and systems in this disclosure provide accurate and repeatable control of a variable delay line over variations in temperature and process using low-power circuits. Furthermore, the input signal to the variable delay line may be asynchronous with respect to a system clock or a reference signal of the PLL.

Variable delay

A wearable patch is provided for use on the body which preferably comprises an ultrasound sensor array, a transmission system coupled to the ultrasound sensor array adapted to provide signal information for ultrasound transmission into the body, and a receiver system coupled to the ultrasound sensor array adapted to receive signal information from the reflected ultrasound signal received from the body. A control circuitry is coupled to the transmission system and the receiver system. The patch is preferably provided with a wireless communication system to permit external control and or communication. Applications range from diagnostics and monitoring, to rehabilitation and wound healing.

Integrated wearable device for detection of fetal heart rate and material uterine contractions with wireless communication capability

A method and apparatus for monitoring drug-regimen compliance is disclosed. Systems in accordance with the present invention enable automatic monitoring of the state of medicine content of a blister card. Each tablet location on the blister card is operatively coupled with a different sensor that detects whether the tablet location is occupied and/or a dispensing event at a tablet location. In some embodiments, capacitive sensing is employed, where the capacitance of each sensor is based on the physical state of a dispensing region of the lidding film of the blister pack, which is located at the tablet location being monitored. Alternative sensing approaches are based on optical, acoustic, and tactile sensors that interrogate either the dispensing region at each tablet location or the tablets themselves to determine whether tablets have been dispensed. The sensors interface with a mobile app that provides the user instructions to help improve drug-regimen compliance.

Apparatus and method for improved drug regimen compliance

Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to a low voltage, accurate current mirror, which may be used for distributed sensing of a remote current in an integrated circuit (IC). One example current mirror typically includes a first pair of transistors, a second pair of transistors in cascode with the first pair of transistors, a switching network coupled to the second pair of transistors, and a third pair of transistors coupled to the switching network. An input node between the first and second pairs of transistors may be configured to receive an input current for the current mirror, and an output node at the first pair of transistors may be configured to sink an output current for the current mirror, proportional to the input current. This current mirror architecture offers a hybrid low-voltage/high-voltage solution, tolerates low input voltages, provides high output impedance, and offers low area and power consumption.

A level shifter includes a latch circuit having a first FET and a second FET; an input circuit having a third FET and a fourth FET, the gates of the first and second FETs being coupled to the drains of the fourth and third FETs, respectively; a first resistive device (resistor, diode-connected FET) coupled between and in series with the first and third FETs between a first voltage rail and a second voltage rail; and a second resistive device (resistor, diode-connected FET) coupled between and in series with the second and fourth FETs between the first and second voltage rails. The gates of the third and fourth FETs are configured to receive a first set of complementary voltages, and a second set of complementary voltages are configured to be generated at the gates of the first and second FETs, respectively. The second set of complementary voltages are based on the first set of complementary voltages.

Level shifter applicable to low voltage domain to high voltage domain conversion

A wireless fetal and maternal monitoring system includes a fetal sensor unit adapted to receive signals indicative of a fetal heartbeat, the sensor optionally utilizing a Doppler ultrasound sensor. A short-range transmission unit sends the signals indicative of fetal heartbeat to a gateway unit, either directly or via an auxiliary communications unit, in which case the electrical coupling between the short-range transmission unit and the auxiliary communications unit is via a wired connection. The system includes a contraction actuator actuatable upon a maternal uterine contraction, which optionally is a EMG sensor. A gateway device provides for data visualization and data securitization. The gateway device provides for remote transmission of information through a data communication network. A server adapted to receive the information from the gateway device serves to store and process the data, and an interface system to permits remote patient monitoring.

Exemplary embodiments are related to voltage regulators. A device may include a first energy storage element coupled between a ground voltage and an output. The device may also include a second energy storage element coupled to the ground voltage and configured to selectively couple to the output. One example apparatus generally includes an amplifier having a first amplification stage configured to amplify the oscillating signal generated by the oscillator and a second amplification stage configured to amplify an inverse of the oscillating signal generated by the oscillator; and a sensing circuit configured to adjust an operational bandwidth of the amplifier based on a frequency of the oscillating signal.

A device and method for analog to digital conversion is disclosed. The device can have a first amplifier operable to receive an input voltage and output a first control signal. The device can also have a first voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) operably coupled to the first amplifier and configured to output a first signal based on the first control signal, the first signal having a sensor frequency. The device can also have a first switched-capacitor resistor operably coupled to the first VCO and to the first amplifier, the first switched-capacitor resistor configured to receive and be controlled by the sensor frequency. The device can also have a sensor counter operably coupled to the first VCO and configured produce a sensor count based on the sensor frequency. The device can also have a register configured provide a digital output proportional to the input voltage based on the sensor count.
