An apparatus according to the present invention removes printing material from a recording member on which an image is recorded by the printing material. The apparatus comprises a releasing member and heating member. The releasing member comes into pressure contact with the recording member, adheres to the printing material on the recording member, and then separates from the recording member to release the printing material from the recording member. The heating member heats at least any one of the contact surface of the recording member to the releasing member or the contact surface of the releasing member to the recording member.

Apparatus for removing printing material

A regenerating apparatus of a recording medium by removing a printing material therefrom comprises a holder which is arranged in the liquid and has a plurality of holding members for holding the media; a feeder for feeding the medium to the respective holding members successively; a discharger which includes a discharging passage extending from each of the holding member and out of the liquid for discharging the recording medium having been held by the holding member for a specific time; and a remover which is disposed in the liquid and near the passage so as to contact and remove the printing material from the recording medium transported along the passage.

Regenerating apparatus of recording medium

A regenerating apparatus for removing a printing material from a recording medium so as to reuse the recording medium includes a container, a container for accommodating a liquid for swelling the printing material; a guide member for guiding the recording medium, part of which is arranged in the liquid; a rotatable transporting roller for transporting the recording medium along the guide member, so that the printing material on the recording medium is immersed in the liquid; a rotatable transferring roller disposed near the guide member so as to be in contact at a circumferential surface thereof with the recording medium and receive the printing material swollen by the liquid from the recording medium. The surface of the transferring roller is formed with at least one of the materials selected from polyolefin resin, polyester resin, nitrogen containing resin, sulfur containing resin, fluororesin, silicon resin, polyacetal resin, epoxy resin, polyether ether ketone resin, and phenol resin.

Regenerating apparatus for recording medium

A main body of a regenerating apparatus of a recording medium has a conveyor mechanism which conveys a recording medium to be regenerated along a conveyance passage. A cleaning unit is removably mounted on the main body for easy maintenance, cleaning or replacement. Preferably, the cleaning unit has a U-shaped conveyance passage of the recording medium filled up with a cleaning liquid, and an image removing mechanism which applies a physical treatment to the surface of the recording medium. The recording medium is taken in the U-shaped conveyance passage, immersed in the cleaning liquid so that the image on the recording medium is swollen and removed by the image removing mechanism. The image removing mechanism may include a web impregnated with cleaning liquid brought into contact with the recording medium by a roller which may have a built-in heater to cause the printing material on the recording medium to swell and be scraped off by the web.

An apparatus for regenerating a recording medium has a feeder which feeds a recording medium, a transporter which transports the recording medium, an immersion bath for containing a cleaning liquid for swelling prints and immersing the recording medium in the cleaning liquid, a print remover which removes the prints by subjecting the surface of the recording medium to a physical treatment, and a fluidizing structure for fluidizing the cleaning liquid in a direction opposite to a direction in which the recording medium is transported in the immersion bath.

Cleaning liquid for recycling copy medium for electrophotography

A method for cleaning waste paper by removing toner-images formed thereon. An emulsion formed cleaning solution, which has a water component, an organic solvent dissolving a resin component, and a surface active agent to form a solution into the emulsion, is applied to the waste paper. The waste paper has a toner-image which is formed by toner-particles which have a resin component. The distance between the fibers of the paper is widened by the water component of the cleaning solution. The resin component of the toner is dissolved by the organic solvent of the cleaning solution.

Method of recycling a waste recording member

The invention disclosed relates to a photosensitive member having excellent photosensitivity characteristics in the visible light region as well as in the near infrared region. According to first embodiment of the invention, the photosensitive member comprises an electrically conductive substrate, an amorphous silicon-germanium photoconductive layer having a thickness of about 0.1 to 3 microns, and an amorphous silicon photoconductive layer of 5 to 30 micron thick formed on the amorphous silicon-germanium photoconductive layer. Second embodiment of the photosensitive member comprises a substrate, an amorphous silicon semiconductor layer of 5 to 100 micron thick and an amorphous silicon-germanium photoconductive layer formed on the amorphous silicon semiconductor layer.

Photosensitive member

The invention disclosed relates to an electrophotographic sensitive member having a photoconductive layer of amorphous silicon. The photoconductive layer is preferably formed by the glow discharge process and includes about 10.sup.-5 to 5.times.10.sup.-2 atomic % of oxygen, about 10 to 40 atomic % of hydrogen and about 10 to 20000 ppm of a Group IIIb impurity of the Periodic Table. A barrier layer of amorphous silicon having a thickness of about 0.2 to 5 microns and containing about 0.05 to 1 atomic % of oxygen may also be formed between a substrate and said photoconductive layer.

Electrophotographic amorphous silicon member

An electrophotographic copying method suitable for a toner image transfer type copying apparatus is disclosed. Using a photosensitive member which comprises at least a photoconductive layer formed over a conductive base which is prepared from a dispersion of a photoconductive material including at least cadmium sulfide in a binder resin and in which a portion of photosensitive member is used repeatedly for forming an image of original to be copied, the method is characterized by performing a first step of charging said photosensitive member to high potential and to the same polarity as applied thereto for the formation of electrostatic latent images and subsequently exposing to light to sensitize said photosensitive member, said high potential being high enough to saturate the degree of sensitization; and a second step of charging the photosensitive member after the first step, and subsequently exposing the photosensitive member to an optical image to form an electrostatic latent image thereon.

Improved spark-plugs for automobile internal combustion engines are made in a manner that thermal conductance (G) from flame nucleus to the electrodes is made as small as possible through decreasing of fluid resistance with respect to minute flame nucleus gas flow in the discharge, the fluid resistance being made small by making the discharge electrodes thin or making at least one of its discharge electrodes streamlined.
