A push button switchis so constructed as to disengage the movable contactsfrom the fixed contactsthrough operation of the push buttonheld in the switch case. A first leaf springis provided in the switch caseto act as an opening-biasing means to bias the movable contactsaway from the fixed contacts. The movable contactis disposed at an end of the first leaf springand adapted to engage with and disengage from the fixed contact. The first leaf springis adapted to be at a position where the movable contactis open relative to and disengaged from the fixed contactat zero displacement of the first leaf spring
