An aqueous water- and oil-repellent dispersion containing: (A) a homopolymer or copolymer containing at least one polymerizable compound having a perfluoroalkyl or perfluoroalkenyl group and an acrylate or methacrylate group, or a copolymer containing said polymerizable compound and another compound copolymerizable therewith, (B) an organic solvent which is tripropylene glycol, and (C) a surfactant, has durable water- and oil-repellency and excellent storage stability.

Composition and treatment agent

An abherent composition which contains (A) a compound having C -C perfluoro-alkyl or alkenyl group, (B) polytetrafluoroethylene having a number-average molecular weight of at most 500,000, and (C) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of a silicone oil, a silicone resin and a highly fluorinated compound having a boiling point of at least 100&deg; C. except those included in the components (A) and (B), is disclosed. This composition prevents various articles from adhering to each other and is suitable as a mold release agent, an anti-blocking agent, a stripping agent for an electrical wire and the like.

A stainproofing polymer having: (i) a reactive group selected from the group consisting of a carboxyl group or its salt, a hydroxyl group, an epoxy group, a phosphoric acid group, an alkoxysilane group, an imine group, a sulfonic acid group, an amino group, an isocyanate group and a blocked isocyanate group; and (ii) a fluoroalkyl group, characterized in that a melting point of a monomer having a fluoroalkyl group, which constitutes the polymer, is at least 70&deg; C. and a melting point of the stainproofing polymer is at least 50&deg; C., gives durability capable of maintaining sufficient water- and oil-repellency after cleaning.

Carbon fluoride particles in which a number-average particle size is 0.01 to 50 .mu.m, a content of particles having such a diameter that the particles size distribution falls with in range of the number-average particle size .+-.20% amounts to at least 50% of the whole, a true specific gravity is 1.7 to 2.5, a F/C as a whole is 0.001 to 0.5, and a F/C at the surface is always larger than the F/C as a whole and is 0.1 to 2. 0. These carbon fluoride partilces are obtainable by reacting carbon particles with fluorine at 350.degree. to 600.degree. C. for one minute to six hours.
