A stator includes a stator core having slots arranged in a circumferential direction and a stator coil formed by wave-winding continuous coil wires on the stator core. Each of the continuous coil wires has in-slot portions received in the slots and turn portions each of which connects, on the outside of the slots, one pair of the in-slot portions. The stator coil is formed, by spirally rolling a band-shaped coil wire bundle that is formed by bundling the continuous coil wires, into a cylindrical shape. In the coil wire bundle, the continuous coil wires are transposed at a plurality of locations. Moreover, in a range where the continuous coil wires extend in the circumferential direction of the stator core by one complete turn, at least one interval between adjacent transposition locations in the coil wire bundle is greater than or equal to the circumferential length of one turn portion.

Stator of rotating electric machine

A stator includes a stator core having a plurality of slots arranged in a circumferential direction and a stator coil formed by wave-winding continuous coil wires on the stator core. Each of the continuous coil wires has in-slot portions received in the slots and turn portions each of which connects, on the outside of the slots, one pair of the in-slot portions. Each of the continuous coil wires has, at root parts of the turn portions respectively connected with ends of the in-slot portions, first crank portions that are radially bent. An amount of radial bending of the first crank portions is set to be half of a radial width of the in-slot portions.

An armature for a rotating electric machine includes an armature core and an armature coil. The armature core includes a substantially annular main body disposed in radial opposition to a field of the machine and teeth extending from the main body radially toward the field. The armature coil is arranged between the teeth of the armature core. For each of the teeth, there are formed a protrusion and a pair of claws at a distal end of the tooth. The protrusion protrudes from a circumferentially central part of the distal end of the tooth radially toward the field. The claws extend, respectively on opposite circumferential sides of the protrusion, from the distal end of the tooth toward the field. Each of the claws has a smaller width at its distal end than at its proximal end and is arcuate-shaped so as to engage with and thereby retain the armature coil.

Armature for rotating electric machine

When accommodating a cage stator coil in a stator core made up of distributed cores, an end side distributed core composing end side core at an end side in axial direction is made larger than a central side distributed core composing central side core. The cage stator coil is formed by compressing a central portion of an original cage stator coil. The end side segment core composing the end core is set at a central portion in an axial direction of the cage stator coil then the end side coil is moved to an end portion in the axial direction. The central side segment core composing the central core is set at the central portion in the axial direction of the cage stator coil thereafter.

Segment-core type stator for inner-rotor type rotary electric machines and an improved method for manufacturing the stator

A production method of a rotor in which a lower layer slot insulator is held at a slot insulator holding portion of a combining jig, a lower layer coil bar is inserted into a coil inserting path of the combining jig and is combined integrally with the lower layer slot insulator by being pushed by a first coil inserting arrow and thereafter, set to inside of a coil integrating path of a coil holding member. The coil holding member is attached to a coil inserting device along with an armature core. The lower layer slot insulator and a lower layer coil trunk are integrally inserted into a slot of the armature core by pushing the lower layer coil bar set to inside of the coil integrating path. The upper layer coil trunk and the lower layer coil trunk may be formed integrally with respective coil arms as a single coil bar.

Rotor production method including assembling a slot insulator and coil trunk into a set prior to insertion into an armature core

In a production method of a rotor, a lower layer slot insulator is held at a slot insulator holding portion of a combining jig. A lower layer coil bar is inserted into a coil inserting path of the combining jig and is combined integrally with the lower layer slot insulator by being pushed together. Thereafter, the combined set is set in a coil integrating path of a coil holding member. The coil holding member is attached to a coil inserting device along with an armature core. The lower layer slot insulator and a lower coil trunk are integrally inserted into a slot of the armature core by pushing the lower layer coil bar in the coil integrating path. The lower layer coil trunk and an upper layer coil trunk may be formed integrally with respective coil arms as a single coil bar.
