An instrument panel includes a lower panel located in front of a front seat, a side panel facing a front door, and a switch. The lower panel includes a lower panel side overlapping the side panel on a back side of the side panel. The switch is fixed to the lower panel side, and an operating part of the switch is exposed through a hole provided in the side panel.

Instrument panel

A vehicle structure includes an instrument panel, an in-vehicle device projecting toward a vehicle-upper side with respect to an upper surface of the instrument panel, and a cover panel that covers the in-vehicle device to expose a front surface of the in-vehicle device to a vehicle cabin. The cover panel includes an upper panel portion facing at least an upper part of a back surface of the in-vehicle device, and a lower panel portion facing at least a lower part of the back surface of the in-vehicle device and connected to the upper panel portion. The in-vehicle device includes a terminal provided on the back surface and configured such that a connector of a harness is connectable to the terminal, and a regulation member configured to regulate a position of the harness to a vehicle-lower side with respect to the terminal when the connector is connected to the terminal.

Vehicle structure

A structure of a vehicle body disclosed herein may include: an instrument panel; a steering column extending through an opening of the instrument panel toward a rear of the vehicle body, and having a steering wheel attached thereto; and a meter cluster panel provided such that the meter cluster panel surrounds a meter. The meter cluster panel may include: an upper cover portion provided such that the upper cover portion opposes at least a part of an upper portion of the meter; and a side cover portion provided such that the side cover portion opposes at least a part of a side portion of the meter. The side cover portion may extend from a position opposing the side portion of the meter toward the rear of the vehicle body and include a portion located closer to the rear of the vehicle body than the upper cover portion.

Structure of vehicle body

A structure of a vehicle disclosed herein may include: a windshield; an instrument panel located below the windshield; in-vehicle equipment disposed such that the in-vehicle equipment projects upward above an upper surface of the instrument panel and is fixed to the instrument panel; and an impact relieving mechanism configured to, when a rearward and downward collision load is applied to the in-vehicle equipment, relieve the collision load by moving the in-vehicle equipment rearward and downward.

Structure of vehicle

An instrument panel mounted on a vehicle and covering an airbag may include: a panel body including a first slit at a position opposing the airbag; a decorative sheet constituted of at least one of cloth and leather, the decorative sheet covering an area of the panel body including the first slit, and the decorative sheet including at least one second slit arranged along the first slit; and a fastener fastening the decorative sheet on the panel body. The fastener may include: a cover plate covering the at least one second slit; and at least one anchor extending from a back surface of the cover plate and passing through the first slit and the at least one second slit, the at least one anchor being fixed to the panel body.

An airbag apparatus includes an airbag housed deployably, and an instrument panel covering the airbag in a deploying direction and forming a design surface of a vehicle cabin. The instrument panel includes, on the design surface facing the vehicle cabin, a character line including continuous protrusions toward the deploying direction. The instrument panel includes, on a surface facing the airbag along the character line, a tear line that ruptures at the time of deployment of the airbag.
