injection positions (A, B, and C) toward which washer liquids (W) are injected from the forward-side injection nozzles (A, B, and C) and injection positions (Dand E) which washer liquids (W) are injected from the backward-side injection nozzles (Dand E) are alternatively shifted in the longitudinal direction of the blade rubber. Therefore, in wiping-out motion of the blade rubber for one reciprocation, the front glass () can uniformly get wet, the total number of injection nozzles can be made less than ever, the consumption amount of washer liquid (W) at the time of reciprocating wiping-out motion of the blade rubber can be reduced, power consumption of the washer pump can be reduced, and the size of the washer pump can be decreased.

Wiper blade

Base end sides of washer tubesare arranged in an axial direction of a swinging shaft PS at one end portion of an arm head, and they are drawn out from a head side pipe housing portionso as to curve toward a side opposite to a shaft fixing portionside. Each of the washer tubesis wound around the shaft fixing portionduring swinging of the arm headwithout applying any load to the swinging shaft PS. No tension acts on each of the washer tubes, and each of the washer tubesis not rubbed against the shaft fixing portion. Therefore, deterioration of the washer tubescan be suppressed. When the washer tubesare wound around the shaft fixing portion, a periphery of the shaft fixing portionis suppressed from swelling outward in a radial direction thereof. This makes it possible to prevent the arm headaround the swinging shaft PS from increasing in size.

Wiper device

A nozzle unitwhich jets washer fluid toward a windshield is fixed to an arm piecewhose front end side is fitted to a hook fixing member. As a result, the nozzle unitcan be fixed without using the fitting member adopted in the conventional case, and located closer to the hook fixing member. This reduces a positional shift of the nozzle unitrelative to the wiper bladeto the minimum, thus stabilizing the injection-target locations of washer fluid on the windshield.

Wiper apparatus and nozzle unit

A washer apparatusis provided to a coupling portion CN between a blade rubberand a holder member, and has a length in a longitudinal direction of the blade rubber, which is set to be shorter than that of the blade rubberin the longitudinal direction, and inner-peripheral-side-oriented injection nozzlesandand an outer-peripheral-side-oriented injection nozzlehave openings oriented to respective ends of the blade rubberin the longitudinal direction.

A wiper apparatus is improved in wiping performance, and can suppress a disturbance due to cleaning liquid in a driver's field of view. Each cleaning liquid Wand Wis jetted from four forward-side injection nozzles and four backward-side injection nozzles in a direction opposite to the wiper blade, and toward injection-target locations, and a distance between the wiper bladeand an injection-target location for cleaning liquid Wand Won the opposite side from a center of a swinging motion of the wiper bladein a wiping direction of the wiper bladeis larger than a distance between the wiper bladeand an injection-target location for cleaning liquid Wand Won the same side as the center of the swinging motion of the wiper blade in the wiping direction of the wiper blade. Therefore, on the same side as the center of the swinging motion of the wiper blade, it is possible to suppress a disturbance due to cleaning liquid in the driver's field of view, and on the opposite side from the center of the swinging motion of the wiper blade, it is possible to enhance the wiping performance of the wiper apparatus by sufficiently wetting dust and the like.

Wiper apparatus

A wiper blade includes a blade rubber and a rubber holder. In the rubber holder, a water channel through which a washing liquid flows along a longitudinal direction is provided. In the rubber holder, an injection port that communicates with the water channel and is configured to be opened by water pressure and inject the washing liquid is provided. The injection port is formed into a slit shape, and a plurality of injection ports are provided in the longitudinal direction. A width of the injection ports varies along the longitudinal direction, and the injection port closer to an outer end side has a larger slit width. A larger amount of the washing liquid is injected from the injection port having a larger slit width, and the injection amount of the washing liquid becomes larger toward the outer end side at which more washing liquid is required.
