An object of the present invention is to develop a device and a method by which cargo handling is automatically performed to eliminate overlaps among articles. When loaded with a plurality of articles M, a cargo handling device eliminates overlaps among the articles M. The cargo handling device has an article placement surface on which the articles M are placed. The cargo handling device performs a cargo handling operation that turns and/or rotates the articles M on the article placement surface to eliminate the overlaps among the articles M.

Cargo handling device and cargo handling method

An object of the present invention is to develop a conveying device capable of carrying out an object in multiple directions. The conveying device includes a plurality of conveying cellsthat move the object, and the plurality of conveying cellsare arranged in plane. The conveying cellincludes a conveying direction changing unit that changes a conveying direction and a controller. An address is given to the conveying cell, and based on a conveying destination of the object carried in the conveying celland an own address of the conveying cell, the controller determines a carrying-out direction of the conveying cellsuch that the object approaches the conveying destination.
