A developing device includes: a rotating member that delivers a developer to an image holding body while rotating, and has a minimum distance with a housing at a portion from delivery of the developer to the image holding body to release of the developer as viewed in an axial direction of the rotation; a supply member that extends in the axial direction, is disposed diagonally below the rotating member as viewed from the axial direction, and transports the developer while rotating to supply the developer to the rotating member; and a pair of flow path walls that are disposed above the supply member and sandwich a flow path connecting from an inside to an outside of the housing in an upward-downward direction, the flow path having a first flow path width of an inner flow path opening on an inner side of the housing in the flow path as viewed from the axial direction equal to or larger than the minimum distance, and a second flow path width of an outer flow path opening on an outer side of the housing in the flow path as viewed from the axial direction larger than the first flow path width.

Developing device and image forming apparatus

A developing device includes a housing in which a circulation path is formed by a first path through which a developer passed to a developing roll flows, a second path disposed offset from the first path in a direction of gravity, a pair of connecting ports connecting the first path and the second path, and a transport member that operates in the housing. The transport member transports the developer in a determined direction, or a reverse direction to the determined direction, in the circulation path according to a load applied for driving the transport member.

A developing device includes: a rotating member that delivers a developer to a latent image of an image holding body while rotating; a supply member that extends in an axial direction of the rotating member and is disposed diagonally below the rotating member as viewed from the axial direction, transports the developer while rotating, and supplies the developer to the rotating member; and an upper member disposed on an opposite side of the rotating member with respect to a tangent line extending in an upward-downward direction in contact with a portion of the rotating member on a supply member side and above the supply member, as viewed from the axial direction.

A toner container includes: a container that accommodates toner and transports, by rotating, the toner to an opening disposed at a first end portion in a direction of a rotation axis; a support portion that covers a periphery of the container near the first end portion, and supports the container to be rotatable in a circumferential direction, the support portion being attached to an image forming apparatus body and having a sealant interposed between the support portion and the container; and a fixing portion that fixes the container and the support portion to each other while the sealant is compressed when the support portion is rotated relative to the container in a first circumferential direction.

A developing device includes: a storage part in which a developer is stored; a transport body that includes a spiral blade and transports the developer via a rotation thereof; a developing body to which the developer is supplied from the transport body; an attachment part which is disposed between the transport body and the developing body and includes an opening allowing the developer supplied from the transport body to the developing body to pass and to which a sealing member sealing the opening is detachably attached; and a connection portion which extends to cross the opening at a spiral angle of the blade as viewed from the developing body toward the transport body and of which one end portion and the other end portion are connected to the attachment part.

A sensor cleaning device includes: a cleaning member including an inclined portion that wipes and cleans an entire surface of a sensor, which includes a long side portion extending in a longitudinal direction and a short side portion extending in a lateral direction intersecting with the longitudinal direction, while moving relative to the surface of the sensor in the longitudinal direction of the surface of the sensor and is disposed obliquely to a wiping direction so that an upstream end portion of the inclined portion in the wiping direction is positioned outside the surface of the sensor in the lateral direction; and a moving mechanism that moves the cleaning member in the wiping direction and in a direction opposite to the wiping direction.

A developing device includes a first developer transport path, called as first path hereinafter; a first transport screw that transports a developer in the first path; a first conveyance roller that is thicker than a shaft of the first transport screw, attracts by magnetic force the developer at a downstream end portion of a second developer transport path arranged next to the first path, and conveys the developer to an upper portion located upstream of the first path; a first scraping wall that scrapes and sends the attracted developer; and a first guide columnar body that is adjacent to the first conveyance roller, has a peripheral surface continuous to the first conveyance roller, receives, using the peripheral surface, and guides the sent developer to an upstream end portion of the first path, and has a length that the guided developer is not attracted by the magnetic force.

Provided is a developing system including a developing device that includes a replenishing unit that replenishes toner into an accommodating portion of a developer including toner and a carrier, via a replenishing port, a receiving unit that includes a transport member that transports received toner to a discharge port, a connecting member that has an internal space that is formed with an inlet connected with the discharge port and an outlet connected with the replenishing port, and a rotating member that is rotated in the internal space, and includes a blocking surface portion that closes the inlet and the outlet while passing over the inlet and the outlet, and a transport surface portion that receives or discharges the toner while passing over the inlet and the outlet.
