An attention calling system includes a time headway (THW) acquisition unit that repeatedly acquires THW at predetermined time intervals, the THW being a value obtained by dividing an inter-vehicle distance between own vehicle and a preceding vehicle by vehicle speed of the own vehicle, an identification unit that identifies a type of the preceding vehicle, and a notification unit that outputs to an occupant of the own vehicle an approach alarm that notifies an approach to the preceding vehicle when the THW becomes a first threshold or less. The notification unit outputs the approach alarm by using the first threshold that takes different values depending on the type of the preceding vehicle, and/or by setting a saliency level that is a degree of saliency of the approach alarm to a first level that has different magnitudes depending on the type of the preceding vehicle.

An attention attracting system includes HMI devices that are mounted on a subject vehicle; and an attention attracting device that transmits, to a driver, a possibility of contact between the subject vehicle and an object through the HMI devices. The attention attracting device includes a processor that identifies a risk position at which the contact occurs and a risk level of the contact, estimates a degree of fatigue of the driver, and transmits the risk position and the risk level to the driver. The processor selects an HMI device to be used in accordance with the degree of fatigue of the driver, provides a tactile stimulus or an auditory stimulus to the driver through a tactile HMI device or an auditory HMI device at a remarkableness level corresponding to height of the risk level, and transmits visual information to the driver through a visual HMI device.

A reproduction system includes an external detection unit configured to acquire external information of an own vehicle, a vehicle sensor configured to acquire vehicle information of the own vehicle, a storage medium storing computer-readable instructions, and at least one processor connected to the storage medium, the at least one processor executing the computer-readable instructions to generate external time-series data indicating an external situation of the own vehicle in time series based on the external information, generate vehicle time series data indicating a driving situation of the own vehicle in time series based on the vehicle information, generate, based on the external time-series data and the vehicle time-series data, a moving image that reproduces a movement history of the own vehicle at a specific traffic location, and cause a display device to display the moving image.

A method for assisting a person to perform a task in a dynamic environment comprises a step of acquiring data on the dynamic environment, and of predicting at least one behavior of an object or event in the dynamic environment based on the acquired data. The method proceeds by determining a relevance measure of the at least one behavior of the object or event based on the prediction. Then a modulation signal is generated, wherein the modulation signal changes at least one signal parameter as a function of the determined relevance. The modulation signal is then used to modulate at least one directional stimulus signal, wherein the at least one modulated directional stimulus signal further depends on a direction of the predicted at least one behavior of the object or event with respect to the assisted person. The at least one modulated stimulus signal is then output to the assisted person.
