An induction heating apparatus is provided. The induction heating apparatus includes a heating coil configured to heat an object to be heated, a full-bridge type inverter configured to supply power to the heating coil, a capacitor provided between an intermediate node of one arm of the inverter and one end of the heating coil, and a first relay provided between the intermediate node and the other end of the heating coil. An intermediate node of the other arm of the inverter and an intermediate point of the heating coil are connected through a first wire. The induction heating apparatus includes a processor configured to open or close the first relay based on an impedance of the object to be heated.

An induction heating apparatus is provided. The induction heating apparatus includes a heating coil, an inverter, a current sensor configured to measure a driving current supplied from the inverter to the heating coil, and a controller configured to provide a drive signal to the inverter to allow the driving current to follow a target current based on a user input. The controller reduces a driving duty of the drive signal based on the driving current exceeding a predetermined reference current, and the controller provides a drive signal to the inverter to allow the driving current to follow a current less than the target current, based on the driving current being less than or equal to the predetermined reference current after reducing the driving duty of the drive signal.

A plasma display panel brightness correction circuit, a brightness correction method, a video display, and a video display method are provided. One embodiment includes a continuity detector that receives video signals and detects those of the video signals having signal level values which are greater than or less than a predetermined value. A video signal corrector is also provided for applying correction factors. The correction factors are calculated according to the ratio of pixels with signal level values greater than the predetermined value to the pixels with signal level values less than the predetermined value. The video signal corrector then corrects the levels of the video signals.

A first video signal and a second video signal delayed by a predetermined field are received, a first motion detection result is output when a signal level of the first video signal is greater than that of the second video signal, and a second motion detection result is output if the second video signal is greater than the first video signal. A flag is established according to the first motion detection result, and a third video signal generated by delaying the first video signal is output. The lighted pattern of the third video signal is switched according to the second motion detection result and the flag.

A contrast correcting circuit for preventing white distortion in a dark screen comprises: an integrator for integrating brightness levels of video signals, and for calculating a sum of the brightness levels; a ROM for storing different types of table data exhibiting contrast conversion characteristics according to the brightness; a selection signal generator for setting as a reference value the sum of the brightness levels of all of the pixels when the brightness levels are at a maximum, for comparing the reference value with an integration output of the integrator, and for instructing the ROM to selectively output table data suitable for the brightness of a screen selected from the different types of table data; and a RAM for storing a conversion table for correcting the contrasts of the video signals by means of the table data.
