Focus block for a three-tube color video projector

A projecting apparatus, such as a color video projector, includes a screen, a plurality of image sources, such as cathode ray tubes, and a plurality of projecting lenses for projecting the images from the image sources onto the screen to form a compound image. The projecting lenses are arranged so that the principal axes thereof are parallel to one another and at least one of the lenses is arranged with the principal axis thereof epaxially displaced with respect to the central axis of a respective one of the plural image sources, so that the images projected through the lenses are caused to coincide on the screen. One or more light intercepting plates are interposed in the optical path between at least one of the image sources and the screen to intercept a portion of the light emitted by at least one of the image sources so as to compensate for unevenness of distribution of brightness in the projected images.

Projecting apparatus

A vertical deflecting circuit for a television receiver having a first signal source for supplying a first signal which has a sawtooth wave shape and a vertical period, second signal source for supplying a corrected signal having a horizontal period, a vertical output circuit for amplifying the first signal, and a vertical deflecting coil connected to the vertical output circuit. In this case, the vertical deflecting circuit further includes a mixing circuit for mixing the first signal and said correcting signal and a resistor connected to the deflecting coil in parallel for forming with the vertical deflecting coil an integrator for the correcting signal.

Vertical deflecting circuit

An apparatus for projecting a compound video image onto a screen generally includes a plurality of image sources, such as cathode ray tubes, each forming a respective primary color image, and a plurality of lenses projecting the images from the image sources onto the screen to form a compound image. The projecting lenses are arranged so that the principal axes thereof are parallel to one another and arranged in a substantially symmetrical manner with respect to the center of the screen. Each of the color image sources includes an imaginary central axis normal to the plane of the image formed by the respective cathode ray tube, with each of the central axes being epaxially displaced from the principal axes of the respective projecting lenses and at least one of the imaginary central axes being outwardly inclined in respect to the principal axis of the respective projecting lens, with the degree of such inclination being determined in correspondence with the refractive index of the transparent material of the face plate of the respective cathode ray tube for the color of the respective color image.
