An inkjet recording apparatus includes a conveying belt, a recording head, and a flushing controller. The conveying belt includes the plurality of openings formed as a plurality of rows of openings, each row composed of openings arranged at predetermined intervals in a widthwise direction of the conveying belt. The openings of each of the plurality of rows of openings include overlapped portions at which the openings are over-lapped with the openings of any other of the plurality of rows of openings along a widthwise direction of the conveying belt. The flushing controller allows the recording head to do flushing by allowing each of all the nozzles inclusive of the nozzles facing the overlapped portions to eject ink a predetermined number of times.

Inkjet recording apparatus

The controller causes the print engine to perform preliminary ejection on a maintenance sheet that is a print sheet different from the print sheet of the user document image, and to print an inspection chart image on a maintenance sheet. The controller causes, to be displayed on a predetermined display device, the maintenance sheet setting screen allowing a user to specify output conditions for the preliminary ejection and the printing of the inspection chart image, and specifies the output condition specified by the user on the maintenance sheet setting screen, and when an output condition is satisfied in printing the user document image by the print engine, the controller causes the print engine to automatically perform the preliminary ejection and printing of the inspection chart image on the maintenance sheet.

An ink jet recording apparatus includes a controller that causes an image recording device, upon detecting an error with a recording sheet according to information acquired by an error information acquisition device, to suspend image recording on the recording sheet with which the error has been detected, and on another recording sheet being transported on an upstream side in a transport direction, of the recording sheet with which the error has been detected, and to perform a predetermined protective ejection including protecting an ink jet head of the image recording device, by ejecting a limited minute amount of ink from the ink jet head, at least onto a recording sheet transported subsequent to the recording sheet the image recording on which has been suspended.

Ink jet recording apparatus that prevents wasteful consumption of ink

An image forming apparatus is an apparatus that forms an image on paper and provided with a sensor section, a determination section, and an estimation section. The sensor section outputs a signal indicating a state of the paper. The determination section determines whether or not each of a plurality of error conditions relating to a paper error is satisfied based on the signal output by the sensor section. The estimation section estimates an occurrence factor of the paper error based on a satisfaction pattern of the plurality of error conditions.

In an image forming apparatus, includes a sheet supplying portion, an intermediate tray, a discharge tray, a post-processing portion, a jam detecting portion, a discontinuation control portion, a dummy feed control portion, and a supplementary printing control portion. The dummy feed control portion, after the paper jam is solved, causes an image forming portion to execute a dummy feed process in which sheets as many as a predetermined dummy feed number are conveyed from the sheet supplying portion to the intermediate tray, without formation of images on the sheets. The supplementary printing control portion cause the image forming portion to execute a supplementary printing process in which images are formed on one or more sheets, the images being images of remaining pages that are obtained by excluding pages corresponding to the dummy feed number of sheets starting from a beginning page, from all pages.
