A switch for detecting various angular positions of a motorcycle side stand bar is a rotary switch so arranged that a movable contact therein is moved with respect to stationary contacts in response to movement of the side stand bar whereby the position of the side stand bar can be detected while the switch can be advantageously positioned to permit greater freedom of switch design and installation and protection of the side stand pivot member. Various switch configurations and modes of attachment are disclosed, as well as various modes of electrical application of the switch in the operation of the vehicle.

A fuse circuit unit for combination with an electromagnetic switch has a first terminal having one end thereof adapted to be connected to one terminal of a main fuse of a load circuit, and another end adapted to be connected to of the input terminal of the electromagnetic switch. The fuse circuit unti also has a second terminal having one end thereof adapted to be connected to another terminal of the main fuse, and another end adapted to be connected to the load circuit, and a casing supporting the first and second terminals. The casing of the fuse circuit unit is engageable with the electromagnetic switch, and the first terminal of the fuse circuit unit is removably fastened to the input terminal of the electromagnetic switch to mechanically and electrically connect them together. The casing is molded from a resin in a one-piece body, together with the first and second terminals.

A method and apparatus for sensing air pressure in pneumatic suspension units for a vehicle, such as a motorcycle, comprising: air pressure sensors capable of sensing air pressures in pneumatic suspension units to generate an output signal when the air pressures are below a predetermined level; a vehicle speed sensor capable of sensing vehicle speed to generate an output signal when the vehicle speed exceeds a predetermined level; a signal processor adapted to receive output signals from the pressure sensors and the vehicle speed sensor and generate an output when the air pressures in the pneumatic suspension units are below a predetermined level while the vehicle speed continues to be in excess of a predetermined level for more than a predetermined period of time. An indicating device produces an indicating signal when it receives an output signal from the signal processor.
