An immersion tank includes a tank main body configured to store a coolant, at least one first air bag that is provided in the tank main body, that is coupled to a bottom portion of the tank main body, that is able to be inflated toward an upper portion of the tank main body, and that is able to be deflated, from an inflated state thereof, toward the bottom portion, and a guide member that is provided outside the at least one first air bag in the tank main body and that is configured to guide the at least one first air bag during the inflation and the deflation of the at least one first air bag.

In an electronic unit loading mechanism, an electronic unit is attachable to or detachable from an electronic unit loading base which is retractable to a housing. The electronic unit loading mechanism comprises a main part fixed to the loading base and a holding part holding the electronic unit. The holding part is vertically movable to the main part between a taken-out position and a loaded position, wherein the holding part at the taken-out position is taken out from the main part so that the electronic unit is attached to or detached from the loading base, and the holding part at the loaded position is contained in the main part so that the electronic unit is loaded to the loading base.

Electronic unit loading mechanism and disk array device

A disk array apparatus includes an enclosure having an opening at its front face, at least one module configured to be mounted in the enclosure and at least one securing mechanism configured to secure the at least one module to the enclosure. The module includes a frame member and a lever member that is movable between a first position received by the frame member in which it serves as a cover of the opening and a second position in which it serves as a grip part for pulling the module out of the enclosure.

Module mounting/removing mechanism and disk array

A magnetic disk apparatus includes at least two systems, each system having at least one power unit and at least one battery unit ancillary to the power unit. The disk apparatus also includes at least one common power unit having a pluralities of batteries attached thereto connected in common with the two systems. Patrol control means (PC) is operatively connected to a power control unit (0) of one system and a power control unit (1) of another system for giving a control signal during a battery monitoring operation and a priority order to the battery monitoring operation. The patrol control means monitors the function of the common batteries attached to the common power unit and, further, when the common batteries are incorporated in the magnetic disk apparatus, controls the simultaneous monitoring of the common batteries and the time of incorporation of the common batteries into the magnetic disk apparatus. When one of the at least two systems is monitoring the common batteries, the power control unit of the one of the at least two system sends a master signal MAS to the patrol control means (PC) indicating that the one of the at least two systems is monitoring the common batteries, and the patrol control means sends an other-system patrol signal O-TST to the other of the at least two system indicating that the one of the two at least two system is monitoring the common batteries.

A magnetic disk apparatus which is used as a subsystem of a computer system, in particular a medium-sized computer system which uses commercial power and does not have its own backup power, provided with a plurality of directors (118), a plurality of magnetic disk modules (148) commonly accessed from the plurality of directors, a plurality of director batteries (114-m) for supplying power individually to the plurality of directors, magnetic disk module batteries (114-n) for supplying power to the magnetic disk modules, and a power controller (110) for independently controlling the supply of power from the plurality of director batteries and magnetic disk module batteries in accordance with the operating state of the plurality of directors and magnetic disk modules. (FIG. 1).

Magnetic disk subsystem with failsafe battery charging and power shut

A magnetic disk module adapted to be inserted in a data storing device body which is in use. The module includes two sets of disk drive units and printed wiring boards in one housing so that are disk drive unit or printed wiring board can be easily attached or detached in one set while the other set is in an operating state. The module includes a first connector attached to the disk drive unit, a second connector attached to the printed wiring board, a third connector at the rear end of the housing for plug-in connection to a connector of a data storing device body, a fourth connector arranged in the housing for plug-in connection to the first connector, and a fifth connector arranged in the housing for plug-in connection to the second connector.
