Provided is a reactor and a reactor component that can prevent cracking of a resin portion that is interposed between a coil and an internal core portion. The reactor includes a coiland a core that includes an internal core portionand a couple core portion. The coilis formed by helically winding a wire. The internal core portionis disposed inside the coil and forms a part of a closed magnetic path. The couple core portionis joined to the internal core portionand forms the remaining part of the closed magnetic path. The reactor includes a resin portion (internal resin portion) including a region that is interposed between the coiland the internal core portion, and a cushioning memberthat is interposed between the resin portion and the internal core portionand that does not cover the couple core portion. It is preferable that the material of the cushioning memberhas a Young's modulus that is smaller than a resin material of the resin portion.

Reactor and reactor-use component

A compact reactor with excellent productivity and heat dissipation is provided. Reactor&#x3b1; includes a coil formed by spirally winding a wireand a magnetic corehaving an inside core portion inserted into the coil and an outside core portioncoupled to the inside core portion. These core portions form a closed magnetic circuit. The coil is covered with an inside resin portionon the outer circumference thereof to form a coil molded unit&#x3b1; with its shape being held. The outer circumference of a combination unitof the coil molded unit&#x3b1; and the magnetic coreis covered with an outside resin portion&#x3b1;. Reactor&#x3b1; does not have a case and is thus compact. A surface of the outside core portionon the installation side (core installation surface) is exposed form the outside resin portion&#x3b1; and is in direct contact with a fixed object, thereby achieving excellent heat dissipation. The provision of the coil molded unit&#x3b1; facilitates the handling of the coil during assembly of reactor&#x3b1;, thereby achieving good productivity.
