A chemical decontamination apparatus of the present invention chemically dissolves radioactive substance-containing oxide films formed or adhering on the surface of a decontamination object by using ozone water to conduct decontamination. A wiper system for wiping a windshield of an automotive vehicle. The wiper system is comprised of a wiper arm to which a wiper blade is movably fixed. The wiper arm is driven by a wiper motor through a link mechanism so as to move the wiper blade in such a manner that the moving speed of the wiper blade is accelerated at an initial period and decelerated at the remaining period in a stroke of wiper blade movement. The degree of deceleration is reduced in the course of the remaining period, thereby omitting troublesome or bothersome feeing of a driver seated in the vehicle.
