The insertion portion is configured to catch the slider. The handle extends in a direction opposite to the insertion portion. The handle includes a fragile part having a locally small cross-sectional area perpendicular to the direction in which the handle extends.

A tool for a plug to which a cable having its basal end covered with a boot is attached is disclosed. The plug includes a plug body fitted to an adapter and a slider supported on the plug body. The tool includes an insertion portion that catches the slider, and a boot surrounding part that has a sleeve-like shape and accepts insertion of the cable and the boot, to accommodate the boot while the insertion portion is catching the slider. The boot surrounding part includes a slit extending along an entire length in an axial direction of the boot surrounding part and having a width greater than a diameter of the cable and smaller than a maximum diameter of the boot. While the insertion portion is catching the slider, the boot surrounding part is positioned inner than an outermost shape line of the plug as seen in the axial direction.

A connector plug has a connector plug body, a slider supported on the connector plug body and a jig attachable to the slider. The jig has an insertion portion which can be inserted into a slot of the slider and an operation portion extended from the insertion portion. The insertion portion has first and second insertion portions separated from each other by a predetermined distance. The slider can be moved in the detaching direction when the jig is moved in the detaching direction in a state that a first locking portion of the first insertion portion and a second locking portion of the second insertion portion are locked to the inner wall of the slot, and the locked state of the first locking portion and the second locking portion can be released when a force is applied to the operation portion in an inside direction to shorten the predetermined distance.

A plug attached to a terminal part of a cable includes a plug main body engaged to an adaptor, a slider and a tool. The tool includes an insertion portion having a tapered part and an engaging projection and an operation part. When the operation part is pulled with a second surface of the insertion portion inserted in a slot being disposed in parallel with an extraction direction, the engaging projection is engaged with an engaging portion of the slider, the slider is moved integrally with the tool and the plug main body is pulled out from the adaptor. When the operation part is pulled with an inclined surface of the tapered part being disposed in parallel with the extraction direction, the engaging projection is released from an engaging state with the engaging portion and the tool is detached from the slider.

A plug attached to a terminal part of a cable includes a plug main body to be connected to an adaptor, a latch, which is provided at the plug main body so as to be elastically displaceable from an outside of the plug main body toward an outer surface of the plug main body and which is engaged to the adaptor, and a slider including a cover part that is disposed at the outside of the latch. The shutter plate of the shutter member is positioned at both open ends of an insertion hole to shield the insertion hole while being curved to form a convex shape toward a center portion of the insertion hole and, when a connector is inserted into the insertion hole, falls toward the center portion of the insertion hole by being pressed by the connector.
