A rotary electric machine includes a multi-phase winding including magnetic poles circumferentially arranged in a circumferential direction. The multi-phase winding includes crossover wires. Each crossover wire connects two single coils functioning as two of the magnetic poles that are same in phase. The crossover wire includes an inter-pole crossover wire and an end crossover wire. The inter-pole crossover wire extends between one end and another end of the multi-phase winding in an axial direction of the multi-phase winding. The inter-pole crossover wire extends through an inter-pole gap between adjacent two of the magnetic poles. The end crossover wire extends in the circumferential direction on the other end of the multi-phase winding.

Rotary electric machine

A motor includes a stator having a stator core and a coil. The stator core has a plurality of teeth arranged at intervals in a circumferential direction. The coil is formed of an electrically-conductive winding wound around the teeth. Moreover, the motor also includes a rotor having magnets arranged in radial opposition to the stator core and at intervals in the circumferential direction. The rotor is configured to rotate upon supply of electric current to the coil. Furthermore, the motor also includes a sensor arranged in a circumferentially intermediate area between a circumferentially-adjacent pair of the teeth in an axial view. The sensor is configured to detect magnetism of the magnets.

Motor equipped with sensor

A motor includes a stator that includes a stator core and coils. The stator core is formed of a magnetic material and has a plurality of teeth arranged at intervals in a circumferential direction. The coils are formed of electrically-conductive windings wound around the teeth. Moreover, the motor also includes a rotor having a plurality of magnets arranged in radial opposition to the stator core and at intervals in the circumferential direction. The rotor is configured to rotate upon supply of electric current to the coils. Furthermore, the motor also includes a plurality of pseudo-teeth formed of a magnetic material and each located in a circumferentially intermediate area between a circumferentially-adjacent pair of the teeth. The pseudo-teeth are arranged so as to be concentrated in a part of the stator core in the circumferential direction.

Motor

A prime mover includes a stator fixed to the housing and a rotor rotatable relative to the stator. The prime mover outputs torque by being supplied with electric power. A speed reducer reduces the torque of the prime mover and outputs the reduced torque. A rotational translation unit includes a rotation portion that rotates relative to the housing upon receiving the torque from the speed reducer, and a translation portion that moves relative to the housing in an axial direction. A clutch allows torque transmission in an engaged state, and interrupts the torque transmission in a disengaged state. A state changing unit changes the state of the clutch by receiving a force along the axial direction from the translation portion. Cogging torque generated between the rotor and the stator is set to such a magnitude that the rotor is stoppable at any rotation position relative to the stator.

Clutch device

A rotary electric machine includes a multi-phase winding including magnetic poles circumferentially arranged in a circumferential direction. The multi-phase winding includes crossover wires each connecting two same-phase single coils that provide same-phase magnetic poles of the magnetic poles. The crossover wire includes an inter-pole crossover wire and an end crossover wire. The inter-pole crossover wire extends between one end and another end of the multi-phase winding in an axial direction of the multi-phase winding. The inter-pole crossover wire extends through an inter-pole gap between two adjacent poles of the magnetic poles. The end crossover wire extends in the circumferential direction on the other end of the multi-phase winding.

A rotary electric machine includes magnetic poles to which a coil is attached. A connection portion between a conductive member and a coil end of the coil is arranged in an inter-pole gap between the magnetic poles. The rotary electric machine may include a rotor and a stator. The magnetic poles may be magnetic poles of the stator.
