A vehicle including a coupling device that includes (a) an engagement clutch mechanism for coupling an input side engagement member that is coupled to a drive power source of the vehicle and an output side engagement member that is coupled to a drive wheel of the vehicle; and (b) a cam mechanism for assisting engagement of the input and output side engagement members depending on a differential torque by which the input and output side engagement members are rotated differentially. The vehicle includes a control device configured, when the engagement of the input and output side engagement members is to be released, to cause a braking force to be applied to one of the input and output side engagement members such that the differential torque is reduced.

A control device for a power transmission device including an automatic transmission and a sub transmission is provided. The control device includes an electronic control unit. The electronic control unit is configured to perform a rotation speed decrease control in which at least one frictional engagement device is controlled to be an engaged state or a semi-engaged state at a time when switching of gear stage of the sub transmission is started or a time when the switching is started. The electronic control unit is configured to end the rotation speed decrease control during switching of the gear stage. The electronic control unit is configured to switch the sub transmission from the power transmission cutoff state to a state in which one of the high-speed engagement element and the low-speed engagement element is engaged, during disengagement of the at least one frictional engagement device.

When a vehicle is switched from a two-wheel-drive mode to a four-wheel-drive mode during turning, rotation of a Rr dog clutch is synchronized by a synchro mechanism. Rotation of a Fr dog clutch is synchronized, by controlling coupling torque of a control coupling that transmits power to a rear wheel that provides an outer wheel during turning. Thus, rotation of the Fr dog clutch is also synchronized, so that shock at the time of engagement of the Fr dog clutch can be suppressed.

Control device and control method for four-wheel drive vehicle

A disconnect mechanism is configured to disconnect a predetermined rotating element from an engine and an auxiliary drive wheels while the vehicle is traveling in a two-wheel drive mode. The predetermined rotating element is configured to transmit power to the auxiliary drive wheels while the vehicle is traveling in a four-wheel drive mode. An electronic control unit is configured to: execute shift control when a shift condition of an automatic transmission is satisfied; selectively engage or release the disconnect mechanism based on a traveling state of the vehicle and a driver's predetermined operation; and control at least one of the automatic transmission or the disconnect mechanism such that a shift period based on the shift condition of the automatic transmission and an engagement-release period of the disconnect mechanism at least partially overlap with each other.

Control system for four-wheel drive vehicle

A driveline includes a wet multi-plate clutch that can switch between a two-wheel drive state and a four-wheel drive state, and a disconnect mechanism that switches transmission/non-transmission of torque between a front differential and one of front wheels. When the driveline is switched from the two-wheel drive state to the four-wheel drive state, the wet multi-plate clutch is actuated to an engagement side, and thus the rotation of the front differential and that of the front wheels are synchronized, and after synchronization is finished, the disconnect mechanism is switched to the transmission state. After switching of the disconnect mechanism is finished, the wet multi-plate clutch is actuated to a disengagement side and returns to a standby position between a disengagement position in the two-wheel drive state and a synchronous position in which the disconnect mechanism is switched.

A motor control device includes a motor, a control portion controlling the motor, estimating a heating temperature of the motor on the basis of an electric current value and an energizing time period or a stopping time period of the motor, and restricting an electrification of the motor in a case where the estimated heating temperature becomes equal to or greater than a limit value, and a temperature sensing device for detecting a temperature of a predetermined portion of a vehicle, wherein the control portion estimates an initial temperature of the motor when an engine is started on the basis of a temperature signal outputted from the temperature sensing device and determines the limit value on the basis of the estimated initial temperature.
