A coaxial terminal includes a signal terminal, a tubular ground terminal that covers the signal terminal, and an insulating member interposed between the signal terminal and the ground terminal. The signal terminal includes a main body that is covered by the insulating member, an upper contact piece that extends from the main body to +Z direction side, and a lower contact piece that extends from the main body to &#x2212;Z direction side. The insulating member has an opening through which a part of the main body is exposed. A wiring board includes a wiring board body and a coaxial connector. The coaxial connector includes coaxial terminals and a housing. The coaxial terminals are arranged in row. Each of the coaxial terminals includes a signal terminal and a ground terminal. The ground terminal includes a tubular main body and first and second contact pieces that respectively extend from the main body and respectively include first and second contact portions in contact with the wiring board body, in a transparent plan view seen through the wiring board along a normal direction of the wiring board body. A part of the first contact piece of a first coaxial terminal overlaps with a part of the second contact piece of a second coaxial terminal adjacent to the first coaxial terminal.

A terminal retention hole of a receptacle housing has guide grooves for permitting sliding of protruding guide parts of a receptacle terminal in the engaging longitudinal direction of the protruding guide parts. Each of the plug terminals has a base part and a contact part extending from the base part. A thickness of the plug terminal contact part in the horizontal direction is smaller than the thickness of the plug terminal base part in the horizontal direction.

Connector assembly

An optical connector is disclosed. The optical connector includes a cable having formed therein an optical waveguide, a plug having the cable connected thereto, and a connector housing configured to mount thereon the plug. The cable is provided with a cable-side guide portion. The plug is provided with a plug housing which has a plug-side guide portion and is attached to the cable. The connector housing is provided with a connector-side guide portion. The plug-side guide portion is configured to be engaged with the cable-side guide portion to achieve a positioning of the cable and the plug housing and be engaged with the connector-side guide portion to achieve a positioning of the connector housing and the plug.

Optical connector for a card including concave and convex guide portions

An optical connector is disclosed. The optical connector includes a cable having formed therein an optical waveguide, a plug having the cable connected thereto, and a connector housing configured to mount thereon the plug. The cable is provided with a cable-side guide portion. The plug is provided with a plug housing which has a plug-side guide portion and is attached to the cable. Either one of the cable-side guide portion and the plug-side guide portion is configured as a protrusive convex portion, and the other guide portion is configured as a concave portion so that the convex portion is press-fitted into the concave portion, thereby achieving a positioning of the cable and the plug housing.

Optical connector having a press-fit guide portion

An optical connector assembly, and both a cable and a plug for use with such an optical connector assembly, are disclosed. The optical connector assembly includes a cable having laminated therein an optical waveguide and conductive wires, a plug having the cable connected thereto, and a connector housing configured to mount thereon a plug connector. The cable is provided with a wiring portion, arranged so that a core portion of the optical waveguide and the conductive wires do not overlap with each other, and a connection end portion, arranged so that a portion of the core portion of the optical waveguide overlaps with a portion of the conductive wires.

An electric connector comprises a conductive terminal and a housing. The conductive terminal is provided with a terminal body portion, a soldering portion, to which an end portion of an electric wire is soldered, and a connection portion connected to a counterpart terminal. The housing is provided with a terminal receipt-hole, in which at least a portion of the terminal body portion is received, and a soldering portion accommodation-groove, in which at least a portion of the soldering portion is accommodated. The soldering portion accommodation-groove is provided with inner side walls, that extend along lateral ends of a soldering surface of the soldering portion, and a concave portion, which is formed in the inner side walls so that a portion of solder that is used for soldering of the end portion of the electric wire is able to come into the concave portion.

Connector

A connector comprises a housing, a lever and a lock portion. The housing receives terminals. The lever, rotatably attached to the housing, is configured to be rotatable between a first position, where an initial stage of fitting to a counterpart connector is established, and a second position, where the fitting thereof is completed. The lock portion, capable of locking the lever at the second position, is slidably attached to a body portion of the lever, and configured to be slid between a lock position and a lock release position. The lever is provided with a positioning latch-portion configured to latch the lock portion. The positioning latch-portion is provided with a concave latch-portion and a convex latch-portion configured to be elastically displaced to be engaged in or disengaged from the concave latch-portion.
