An intraoral camera system includes an imaging unit that generates image data by capturing an image of a tooth inside the mouth of a user, an area detector that detects the orientation of the imaging unit according to output by a multi-axis acceleration sensor and detects, according to the orientation detected, an area whose image is being captured by the imaging unit from among areas inside the mouth, the areas being determined by dividing a dentition into sections, and an identifier that narrows candidates which are combinations of tooth types and tooth positions down to fewer candidates to be used, according to the image data and the area detected, and identifies the type and the position of the tooth according to the narrowed candidates and the image data.

An intraoral camera system includes an imaging unit and an image processor. If a first angle formed by an imaging plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the imaging unit and a first direction that is the vertically upward direction along a vertical axis is less than a predetermined second angle, the image processor rotates image data to cause the vertically upward direction along the vertical axis to coincide with an upward direction of an image by rotating the image data by a third angle formed by the first direction and a second direction from a handle toward a head.

An imaging apparatus is attached to a side of a moving body (for example, vehicle). The imaging apparatus includes an image sensor and an optical system that forms a subject image in a range of a predetermined vertical view angle and a predetermined horizontal view angle on an imaging surface. The optical system forms an image on the imaging surface so as to cause resolution in first region (R) of the imaging surface to be higher than resolution in second region (R) different from the first region. A position of center (G) of first region (R) is at least one of a position horizontally shifted from a center of the horizontal view angle and a position vertically shifted from a center of the vertical view angle.

An imaging device includes an image sensor and an optical system. An imaging surface of the image sensor includes a first region including an intersection with an optical axis and a second region different from the first region. The optical system forms a subject image on the imaging surface so as to cause resolution of the first region to be higher than resolution of the second region. A relationship between a vertical view angle and resolution is different from a relationship between a horizontal view angle and resolution in the subject image.

An object of the present disclosure is to increase resolution of a part required for sensing while achieving a wide view angle. An imaging device according to the present disclosure includes an image sensor and an optical system. An imaging surface of the image sensor includes a first region and a second region different from the first region. The stiffness of the second sheet is greater than the stiffness of the first sheet, and the cover is fixed to the housing to seal the at least one through-hole.
