A switch operation indicator is disclosed which comprises a frame fitted with a push-type switch having a drive member which is locked into a pressed-in position by a first pressing action and unlocked to return to an original position by the next pressing action; a push button fitted in the panel of the frame so that the button can be pressed in; a coupling bar which couples the button and the drive member to each other and has an operating notched portion; an indication opening provided in the panel adjacently to the button and an indication member attached to the frame so as to be swung, along with the movement of the bar, to be engaged with or disengaged from the notched portion and is provided with an indicating portion which alternatively faces or does not face the opening as the indication member is swung back and forth by the repeated pressing actions. Alternatives include an optical guiding version and a vibration-clamping version.

A slide switch comprising a slidable knob having a slanting surface formed in its inside, a holder arranged to be moved by the slanting surface in the direction perpendicular to the sliding direction of the knob, an insulator plate disposed in the direction perpendicular to the moving direction of the holder and provided with fixed contacts on the holder side, a first elastic body disposed on the insulator plate and provided with an opening portion widely opened toward the insulator plate and with a movable contact on an inner surface opposite to the fixed contacts, and a second elastic body interposed between the holder and the first elastic body and having an elastic modulus larger than that of the first elastic body.

Slide switch

In a column mounted switching device mounted on a steering column of a vehicle, a revolution member is supported on a base plate rotatably about a first revolution axis in a first direction, an operation lever is supported on the revolution member rotatably about a second revolution axis directed at a substantially right angle to the first revolution axis, and first switch means is mounted on the base plate such that it is operated in a direction parallel to the second revolution axis by the operation lever through the revolution member. Accordingly, a distance between the first revolution axis and an operation portion of the first switch means is kept sufficiently long so that the first switch means can be operated reliably.

A switch assembly for use in a vehicle including a body carrying a turn indicator switch and a dimmer and passing switch, a rotatable member rotatably mounted on the body for actuating the turn indicator switch, and a bifurcated lever having first and second arms. The first arm is pivotally connected to the rotatable member for pivotal movement of the lever in a direction perpendicular to the direction of rotation of the rotatable member and the second arm is provided in association with the dimmer and passing switch so that rotation of the lever together with the rotatable member controls the turn indicator switch and the pivotal movement of the lever controls the dimmer and passing switch. A plurality of vertical and horizontal notches are formed in a face between the first and second arms for the engagement with a pin mounted in the body to hold the lever in the pivoted and rotated positions.

A combination switching means of the lever type includes a lever having a double-shaft construction so as to permit an operational shaft to be extended through the inside thereof. A first switching means is actuated through a first tilting pivotal operation of the lever, and a second switching means is actuated through a second tilting pivotal operation of the lever in a direction perpendicular to the first pivotal direction. A third switching means is actuated through a twisting pivotal actuation of the operating shaft. A first constructional arrangement prevents an undesirable transmission of a specific displacement inherent in the first pivotal operation to the other switching means, a second constructional arrangement prevents an undesirable transmission of a specific displacement inherent in the second pivotal operation to the third switching means.
