A process for producing a syndiotactic &#x3b1;-olefin polymer having high racemic diad fraction and high molecular weight with excellent polymerization activity through a method permitting high-temperature polymerization. The production process comprises polymerizing a monomer that comprises at least one C3-10 &#x3b1;-olefin and a small amount of ethylene, in the presence of an olefin polymerization catalyst comprising a transition metal compound (A) represented by the general formula [1], at least one compound (B) selected from an organoaluminum oxy-compound (b-1), a compound (b-2) that reacts with the transition metal compound (A) to form an ion pair and an organoaluminum compound (b-3), which process for producing a syndiotactic &#x3b1;-olefin polymer satisfies the relationship: 0.001&#x2266;P/P&#x2266;0.030, provided that the molar amounts of ethylene and an &#x3b1;-olefin having 3 to 10 carbon atoms that are fed into a polymerization reactor under a polymerization temperature of not lower than 25&#xb0; C. are Pand P, respectively.

Process for producing syndiotactic &#x3b1;-olefin polymer

A short-circuit relayis provided for short-circuiting opposite terminals of the electric motor, and the short-circuit relayis operated so as to short-circuit the opposite terminals of the electric motorthrough a short-circuit relay driving unitin accordance with the kind of a failure detected by a failure detection unit, whereby the rotation of the electric motoris inhibited. In addition, when a power supply to the steering apparatus for a vehicle is interrupted, the short-circuit relayoperates, without power supply, to short-circuit the opposite terminals of the electric motor

A roller bearing is provided with an elastic member that is fitted to an annular groove that is formed in the outer circumference of an outer ring. A chamfered portion, formed on one side face of the groove, is made larger than a chamfered portion formed on the other side face, and has a distance from the bottom face of the groove that is set to &#xbd; or more of the thickness of the elastic member.

A vehicular steering system can suppress steering of steerable road wheels in a direction not intended by a driver. A steering mechanism steers the steerable road wheels in accordance with a steering wheel and an auxiliary steering angle superposition mechanism. A calculation section calculates a target auxiliary steering angle corresponding to a steering wheel angle of the steering wheel. A detection section accurately detects the auxiliary steering angle based on detection signals of a rotation angle sensor that detects a rotation angle of a rotational member. A driving section controls the auxiliary steering angle superposition mechanism so as to make the auxiliary steering angle coincide with the target auxiliary steering angle. An auxiliary steering angle detection abnormality monitoring section detects abnormality of the auxiliary steering angle detection section. The auxiliary steering angle detection section includes a counting section that counts the number of revolutions per minute of the rotational member.

Vehicular steering system

A commutator assembly for a motor has a recessed portion formed to each commutator segment so that coils, which are pressed and deformed by bending the hooks of commutator segments, can be accommodated in the recessed portion. With this arrangement, the commutator assembly can improve the reliability of electric connection of the hook of the commutator segments with a conductive wire.
