An intraocular lens insertion device having a configuration in such a manner that, with the displacement of a haptic toward the convex side of an optical portion, which can be deformed in a curved shape, restricted by an engaging part provided to the tip part of a plunger, the haptic is deformed in a curved shape in the direction in which the haptic approaches the optical portion. The configuration allows, when the intraocular lens is pushed out by the plunger, the haptic to enter a gap formed on the concave side of the optical portion which has been deformed in a curved shape.

Intraocular lens insertion device

An intraocular lens insertion tool including: a cylindrical tool body provided with a placement part at which is placed an intraocular lens having an optical part, and a pair of support parts extending from either side of the optical part; and a plunger for pushing out the intraocular lens; the intraocular lens insertion tool being provided in a state in which the intraocular lens is preset in the placement part, wherein at least one of the front support part extending toward a tip end of the tool body and the rear support part extending toward a rear end of the tool body is pre-deformed by abutting against an abutting projection disposed inside the placement part.

Intraocular lens insertion tool

An intraocular lens insertion device having a novel configuration, capable of more accurately arranging front and back surfaces of an intraocular lens in a proper direction. The intraocular lens insertion device is adapted in such a manner that the intraocular lens is set on a stage in a state placed flat with a pair of haptics extended facing front and back sides in a movement direction by a plunger. Also, an interfering acting part is provided to an insertion tube part, and the interfering acting part interferes with the haptic, which is extended facing the front side in the movement direction of the intraocular lens moved by the plunger, to apply on the haptic an external force toward the back side in the movement direction. Thus, the interfering acting part curves and deforms the haptic to a side approaching an optical portion.

An intraocular lens insertion tool is presented. An introductory part in an insertion cylinder is provided, at a widthwise central portion of a bottom surface, with a central protrusion which extends in an axial direction of a tool body and protrudes toward an upper surface to get in contact with a center portion of a rear surface of an optical zone of an intraocular lens. The upper surface is provided, at its both widthwise ends, with a pair of lateral protrusions, which extend in the axial direction of the tool body and protrude toward the bottom surface to get in contact with both ends of a front surface of the optical zone of the intraocular lens. A lens pressing face of a plunging member is formed with a dimension spanning from the bottom surface to the upper surface at a tip end section of the insertion cylinder.

An intraocular lens insertion tool with a tool body for accommodating an intraocular lens and adapted to insert into an eye the intraocular lens through displacement of the lens in an axial forward direction by a plunging member, and to push out the lens through an insertion tube section disposed at an axial distal end of the tool body. A base plate of a resting portion that houses the lens is provided with side plates that respectively project from two widthwise edges of the base plate to both sides in a thickness direction of the base plate thereby imparting to the resting portion a generally 'H' shaped cross section. The tool body inclusive of the resting portion and the insertion tube section is integrally formed from light-transmissive synthetic resin material whereby the lens housed within the resting portion is viewable from an outside through the base plate.

An intraocular lens insertion tool of a novel structure, capable of easily and reliably placing an intraocular lens in a human eye. A placement part formed communicated with the base end of an insertion tube part is formed in a tool body. A placement surface for placing an intraocular lens thereon is formed on the placement part. Through-holes are formed in the portion where the placement surface is formed, and a carrying member is assembled from the outside to the portion where the placement surface is formed. Support parts formed projected from the carrying member are projected from the support surface through the through-holes. The intraocular lens is supported by projecting distal end faces of the support parts.

An intraocular lens insertion tool with a tool body for accommodating an intraocular lens and adapted to insert into an eye the intraocular lens through displacement of the lens in an axial forward direction by a plunging member, and to push out the lens through an insertion tube section disposed at an axial distal end of the tool body. The insertion tube section has an inclined orifice that opens on diagonal to the center axis of the insertion tube section. The plunger member has a sliding part that during displacement thereof in a direction of plunging into the tool body will slide against the tool body. A resistance graduating mechanism is provided for gradually increasing operation resistance of the plunger member by gradually increasing contact force on the sliding part as the lens gradually emerges from the inclined orifice through plunging of the plunger member into the tool body.

An insertion tool of an intraocular lens permits the lens to be deformed while rotation of the lens in an insertion tube is effectively prevented. Upper and lower flat planes are formed to spread flatly over a length of a through hole in the insertion tube and the upper and lower flat planes are connected smoothly with right and left wall faces over the length of the through hole. The right and left wall faces have longitudinal linear portions extending substantially in parallel in a vertical direction on a proximal end opening side. With its radius of curvature decreasing gradually in a covered shape which becomes inwardly concave as it approaches a distal end opening the upper flat plane gradually approaches the lower flat plane, and a tapered portion having a reduced cross-sectional area is formed, thus obtaining the distal end opening of substantially oval shape.

To provide an ophthalmic lens container of novel structure, whereby without the use of any special utensil, a liquid such as a preserving solution can be drained, while keeping an ophthalmic lens held in the container. An ophthalmic lens containerincludes a container bodywherein a cavityhas an opening inside faceof generally heart shape in a plane view. A constricted lower end of the lower section of the heart shape in the opening inside face has a circumferential radius of curvature: ra is smaller than a radius of curvature of a front face of the ophthalmic lens, and the two side portions of the heart shape in the opening inside surfaceof the cavityhave the radius of curvature in the circumferential direction greater than the radius of curvature of the front face of the ophthalmic lens; while a diameter dimension of an inscribed circle in the opening of the cavity is greater than the outside diameter dimension of the ophthalmic lens.

Ophthalmic lens storage container

Disclosed is an ophthalmic lens storage container comprising: a container body including a lens storage portion having a cavity for storing a lens and a preserving solution, and a flange surrounding the cavity; and a cover sheet stripably sealed to the flange in a sealing zone that extends around the cavity to thereby fluid-tightly seal the lens storage portion. The flange of said container body includes an insulating portion located radially outward of an open-end peripheral portion of the cavity, extending circumferentially and includes a shoulder surface that extends in a first direction opposite to a second direction along which the cavity is exposed, and the sealing zone is located radially outward of the insulating portion of the flange.
