The present technology relates to a signal processing apparatus, a signal processing method, and a display apparatus that are able to provide suitable functionality according to applications. The signal processing apparatus provided by the present technology includes a signal processing section that acquires at least one of first information regarding a color of a video to be displayed on a panel section, second information regarding brightness of a screen of the panel section, and third information measured as a physical quantity related to the panel section, and that performs, on the basis of the acquired information, adaptive control of a voltage according to a load on and an application of the panel section. The voltage is used for driving the panel section. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a self-luminous display apparatus.

A lubricant film-forming composition includes as a composition: 40 to 80 mass % of a base oil consisting of one or more selected from pentaerythritol fatty acid ester and trimethylolpropane fatty acid ester; 5 to 20 mass % of a solidifying agent consisting of paraffin wax; and 10 to 40 mass % of a solid lubricant consisting of one or more selected from alkali metal salt of hydroxystearic acid and alkali earth metal salt of hydroxystearic acid. A total content of the base oil, the solidifying agent, and the solid lubricant is 85 mass % or more and 100 mass % or less, and the lubricant film-forming composition does not contain heavy metals.

Solid-liquid separator

A system is provided with a solid-liquid separator which can transport sludge and other material for treatment without clogging and can efficiently separator liquid from such material for treatment. The system includes movable plates and fixed plates alternatingly disposed and two screws disposed in holes formed in the movable plates and fixed plates. The screws have blades that partially overlap. As the two screws rotate, the material for treatment is transported and the effluent is discharged through the gaps between the movable plates and fixed plates.

A polishing method and apparatus applied for planarizing a substrate presenting surface step differences in a production process for a substrate of a semiconductor device. The substrate is ground by being brought into sliding contact with a polishing cloth applied taut on a rotary table as a polishing agent is supplied to the polishing cloth. The grinding for the substrate is carried out until partway under a first condition in which the polishing cloth is ground under a pre-set condition by being slidingly contacted with grinding abrasive grains of the rotary grinding head so that surface roughness of the polishing cloth is maintained at a substantially constant value equal to the surface roughness value prevailing prior to start of grinding. The residual portion of the polishing is carried out under a second condition in which the surface roughness of the polishing cloth is gradually lowered by terminating the grinding. Polishing with superior planarity may be achieved in a shorter time.
