An air bag jacket includes a first portion corresponding to a breast and an upper back portion of a user in a wearing state and a second portion corresponding to a belly and a waist of the user in a wearing state. A recessed portion is cut upwardly from a skirt is formed in the second portion at a position corresponding to either a right or left side of the user. An inflator is arranged on the inside of the recessed portion.

An airbag jacket having a good fitting performance of an expanded airbag for a body in the airbag jacket where the airbag is expanded along an outer surface of the body of the wearer. Airbag jacket

An airbag jacket, to be fitted in a rider jacket, includes an airbag body configured to fill with gas from an inflator operatively connected with the airbag body. The airbag body includes a flat front piece, a flat back piece substantially identical to the flat front piece; the flat front and back pieces having an opening formed therein for permitting an user of the airbag jacket to pass his or her head therethrough. The flat front and back pieces are joined together along a peripheral boundary thereof and along a peripheral boundary of the opening by sewing or bonding so as provide a plurality of continuously formed body covering portions including at least a back covering portion, a shoulder covering portion and a front covering portion.

Airbag jacket for a vehicle rider

A tire inflation pressure monitoring device and a vehicle having the same have a battery-driven unit provided on the tire side that can be reduced in size and power consumption. In a diagnosing unit, an ID comparing section outputs the result of detection of a tire inflation pressure to an inflation pressure calibrating section if a wheel ID included in a received signal coincides with a wheel ID recorded in a set value storing section. An atmospheric pressure detecting section calculates an atmospheric pressure at a present position according to an altitude at the present position. An inflation pressure calibrating section calibrates the result of detection of the tire inflation pressure to an inflation pressure at a reference atmospheric pressure. An inflation pressure diagnosing section compares the calibrated inflation pressure with a reference inflation pressure and inputs a predetermined error code into a storing section if the calibrated inflation pressure is lower than the reference inflation pressure. A diagnosing section reads the result of diagnosis corresponding to the error code recorded in the storing section, from the set value storing section and then outputs the result of diagnosis.

Tire inflation pressure monitoring device and vehicle having the same

A mounting structure for a tire pressure sensing system. The tire pressure sensing system includes a pressure sensor placed on a wheel to sense pressure of a tire which is mounted on the wheel. The wheel is a cast wheel for a vehicle including a rim portion where the tire is mounted, a hub portion provided at the center of the rim portion, and spoke portions connecting the rim portion and the hub portion. The pressure sensor is placed in a boundary portion between the rim portion and the spoke portions. Since the pressure sensor is placed in the boundary portion between the rim portion and the spoke portions, a portion protruding into the tire when replacing a tire can be reduced. Consequently, workability for tire replacement can be improved.

Mounting structure of tire pressure sensing system

A two-wheel vehicle foldable to have a width equivalent to the width of a license number plate can be contained in a door, side walls, or a rear wall of a four-wheel vehicle. Handles and steps of the two-wheel vehicle can be folded so that the vehicle width becomes equivalent to the width of the license number plate. Accordingly, containing space on the four-wheel vehicle at the time of mounting the two-wheel vehicle can be made to be small. As a result, vehicle compartment space of the four-wheel vehicle can be secured, and the two-wheel vehicle can be easily mounted onto the four-wheel vehicle.

A remote control lock operation system for a vehicle capable of unlocking a mechanical locking mechanism for mechanically disabling traveling of the vehicle by a infrared signal, without using the key. Components of the system include a handheld remote control transmitter, a receiver, a mechanical locking mechanism, a lock actuator and control unit, and wiring sections for connecting the lock actuator and the receiver to the control unit mounted in a common module housing contained on the vehicle body. The main components of the system, including the wiring section leading to the lock actuator, are unitized and integrate into the common module housing in order to prevent unauthorized unlocking of the lock. Also provided is a mobile communication terminal having an infrared transmitting port, and a method for using of the terminal. The mobile communication terminal for operating the remote control lock operation device, even when the remote control transmitter is lost, or for some other reason is not available.

Remote control lock operation system for vehicles

This invention relates to a remote lock operation apparatus for a light vehicle without a cabin and having two, three, or four wheels. One objective of the invention is to make it possible for the infrared receiver of a remote lock operation apparatus to cover a range of directivity without being influenced by a seat or a vehicle body rear portion. Another objective is limit the design of the remote lock apparatus to as few as one infrared receiver, thereby reducing the burden to a vehicle battery. In this invention, an infrared receiver is disposed at the center of a vehicle body front half portion in a vehicle widthwise direction with a reception face thereof directed rearwardly. Further, the receiver is placed at a height at which reception of an infrared signal emitted from rearwardly is not disturbed by a vehicle accessory or a vehicle body rear portion on the rear side with respect to the receiver.
