When data detected by an encoder is transmitted/received in predetermined cycles in a measuring device using a sampling control system for controlling a position or a speed at predetermined time intervals, positional data is divided so as to be output with deviation data output each time. The divided positional is reconstituted so as to transmit the positional data within a control cycle.

There is provided an induced current position transducer having an improved signal intensity and durability to gap variations. This can be achieved by preventing harmful diffusion of magnetic fluxes to reduce a loss due to leakage fluxes and forming an efficient closed magnetic path between a magnetic field generator and a magnetic flux sensor. A high permeable substance is disposed in a target magnetic path on members of a read head and a scale. This arrangement can suppress a loss due to leakage fluxes caused from diffusion of magnetic fluxes occurred in the conventional winding structure, improving a signal intensity of a magnetic flux and reducing an affection from an external magnetic flux.

A semiconductor light-emitting element of a metal/organic film/semiconductor junction structure has a semiconductor layer, and an organic Langmuir-Blodgett thin film formed on the semiconductor layer. The thin film includes an electron donative organic monomolecular compound whose longest absorption peak wavelength in an electron transition spectrum falls within a range of 300 nm to 600 nm. A layer of metallic material is formed on the thin film.
