A photographic film which comprises (A) a support, having two sides, (B) at least one light-sensitive emulsion layer on one side of said support (A), and, (C) at least one layer containing a compound represented by formula [I]and a hydrophobic polymer (first layer) and at least one layer containing an antistatic agent (second layer), said first and second layers being placed on the other side of said support (A) and said first layer being placed closer to said support (A) than said second layer: ##STR1## wherein, R.sub.1 represents a carboxylic acid residue having from 12 to 24 carbon atoms and R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 represent independently hydrogen atoms or organic acid residues having from 1 to 24 carbon atoms.

A method of undercoating a polyester film of a light sensitive photographic material is disclosed in which one side of the film is pretreated such that the contact angle with water is below 58.degree.. Additionally, a layer of an aqueous dispersion containing no organic solvent is applied to said side of said film, said dispersion containing a copolymer containing up to 60% by weight of glycidyl methacrylate and 25-60% by weight of ethyl acrylate.

Method of undercoating treatment of polyester films for photographic

A light-sensitive silver halide photographic material having a cellulose ester film support coated on one side with a silver halide emulsion layer and on the other side with a non-light sensitive layer that is removable during an aqueous processing step. An optional portion of the non-light sensitive layer is coated with a magnetic recording layer formed from a dispersion containing at least 60% by weight of 2-ethoxyethanol. The resulting magnetic recording layer exhibits layer adhesion during subsequent development steps.

The present application is directed to a process for subbing a photographic hydrophobic film which involves subjecting at least one surface of the film to a hydrophylizing pretreatment step, coating the pretreated surface with an aqueous dispersion containing a polymer which has particular comonomers in a combined amount of more than 76%, then coating the coated surface with a liquid containing colloidal silica.

Static resistance of a light-sensitive silver halide photographic material is improved by treating said material with a solution or dispersion of a polymer containing quaternary ammonium groups, and which also acts as an antifoaming agent in processing solutions. The polymeric moiety of the polymer has the formula ##STR1## WHEREIN R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, and R.sub.4 are individually a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms; A and B are individually an alkylene group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, a hydroxymethylene group, a phenylene group or a mere bond; X.sub.1.sup..crclbar. and X.sub.2.sup..crclbar. are individually an anion; and n is an integer of 10 to 30.

Light-sensitive silver halide photographic materials containing

A photographic film comprising a plastic support having first and second layers therein in that order, the first layer comprising a cellulose acetate together with a matting agent composed mainly of silicon dioxide of less than 1 .mu. in particle size, the second layer comprising a phosphoric acid ester, or an amine salt thereof of a C.sub.8 to C.sub.22 -higher alkyl alcohol. A light-sensitive emulsion layer is carried on the other side of the support.

The adhesive property of plastic supports is improved by coating the support with an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide and a hydrophilic polymer and, while still wet, irradiating with ultraviolet rays.
