A power supply device includes: a magneto generator with a rotor having a magnet; a torque supplying device supplying torque to the rotor; a rectifier circuit supplying electric power to a electrical load device by rectifying an output of the magneto generator; a short circuit electrically shorting an output end of the magneto generator; a voltage detection circuit detecting a terminal voltage of the electrical load device; and a control circuit controlling a voltage of the electrical load device to be a first set value by controlling the short circuit to switch ON (short operating mode) and OFF (rectification operating mode) according to the voltage detected by the voltage detection circuit and allowing the short circuit to operate while making a switching between the two operating modes according to a operating state relating to a rotation of the rotor of the magneto generator.

Power supply device

A power supply device comprising: a magneto generator including a rotor including a magnet forming a magnetic field; a rectifying unit rectifying an alternating current of the generator to a direct current and supplying to an electrical load; a voltage detection unit detecting a voltage of the electrical load; an opening unit interrupting electrical conduction of an output of the generator; short-circuiting units electrically short-circuiting the output; a torque supplying device supplying torque to the rotor; a voltage control unit selectively performing one of opening-control of controlling on/off switching of the opening unit and short-circuit-control of controlling on/off switching of the short-circuiting units to control the voltage of the electrical load to a predetermined value in accordance with the voltage detected by the voltage detection unit; a switching control unit switching and controlling between the above two controls in accordance with an operating state regarding rotation of the rotor.

Provided is a power supply device including: a magneto generator (), which includes: a rotor including a magnet forming a magnetic field; and a stator which generates an alternating current in stator windings by rotation of the rotor; a rectifying unit () which rectifies the alternating current generated by the magneto generator to a direct current; a variable transformation-ratio direct current voltage transformer () which transforms an output voltage of the direct current of the rectifying unit to a voltage between input terminals of an electrical load () to which electric power is supplied; and a voltage control unit () which controls a transformation ratio of the variable transformation-ratio direct current voltage transformer in accordance with at least one of an operating state signal regarding the rotation of the rotor of the magneto generator and an electrical load state signal of the electrical load.

A power supply device includes: a rectifier having a full-wave rectification circuit whose low side elements are made of MOSFETs; an electrical load supplied with DC power from the rectifier; and a control circuit having a load voltage detector and an AC voltage detector for detecting an input terminal voltage from a permanent-magnet generator; wherein when a terminal voltage across the electrical load is lower than a predetermined value, the control circuit operates the rectifier in full-wave rectification mode, whereas when the terminal voltage across the electrical load is higher than the predetermined value, the control circuit short-circuits input terminals of the permanent-magnet generator with each other, and when power for driving the control circuit is not secured, the control circuit retains the full-wave rectification mode even if the terminal voltage across the electrical load is higher than the predetermined value.

A transformer terminal is configured as a single part that includes: a base portion; a first connecting portion that is formed at a first end of the base portion and to which a winding finish end portion of a secondary wire can be connected; and a second connecting portion that is formed at a second end of the base portion and to which a high-voltage terminal can be connected. The base portion is mounted to a first flange portion of a secondary bobbin so as to be pivotable around an axis of the base portion such that the second connecting portion can adopt a withdrawn position that is shifted axially away from radially outside a secondary wire winding region of the secondary bobbin and a connecting position that aligns with the high-voltage terminal that is radially outside the secondary wire winding region.

Internal combustion engine ignition apparatus and method for manufacturing a secondary coil thereof

An ignition apparatus for an internal combustion engine can suppress radiation noise radiated into air from a discharge current path, thereby preventing the malfunction of electrical equipment mounted on a vehicle. The ignition apparatus includes a transformer having a primary winding and a secondary winding, a conductor for impressing a high voltage generated at a high voltage side of the secondary winding upon interruption of a primary current to the primary winding to a spark plug, a plug boot enclosing the conductor so as to electrically insulate it from the outside and to hold the spark plug, and a metal sleeve arranged to enclose the plug boot and having one end thereof electrically connected directly or indirectly to a low voltage side of the secondary winding, and the other end thereof electrically connected directly or indirectly to the spark plug.
