This vehicle body side structure includes a wheel house disposed at a side portion of a vehicle body to surround an upper outer circumference and a vehicle width direction inner side of a wheel, and a damper base fixed to an inner surface of an upper region of the wheel house to support an upper part of a damper of a suspension, in which an upwardly convex three-dimensional curved surface portion curved in all of a side view, a front-rear view, and a vertical view without an inflection point is provided in the upper region of the wheel house, and the damper base is fixed to an inner surface of the three-dimensional curved surface portion.

Vehicle body side structure

A vehicle rear portion structure includes: a center frame that is disposed closer to a center portion of a vehicle in a vehicle width direction than both side portions of the vehicle in the vehicle width direction, that is disposed on a rear side in the vehicle, and that extends in a front-rear direction of the vehicle; and a bumper beam that is disposed on a rear side of the center frame to be next to the center frame, that is disposed at a position which overlaps the center frame when viewed from a front-rear direction, and that is configured to be crushable due to a rear collision load.

Vehicle rear portion structure

A vehicle rear portion structure includes: a rear side frame extending in a front-rear direction of a vehicle; a bumper beam disposed on a rear side of the rear side frame; and a rear panel provided between the rear side frame and the bumper beam. The rear panel includes a peripheral edge frame structure which is provided at an upper part of the bumper beam, and which has a closed cross-sectional structure. An upper projection of the bumper beam is in contact with a panel of the peripheral edge frame structure.

A route planning apparatus configured to create a travel plan that includes a planned travel route for a leading vehicle to electronically tow a following vehicle using inter-vehicle communication, the route planning apparatus comprising: a receiving unit configured to receive a request to stop at a waypoint during traveling by the electronic towing, the stop-over request being input on a second information processing apparatus that is used by an occupant of the following vehicle: a searching unit configured to search, for a waypoint according to the request, the planned travel route and a surrounding region of the planned travel route; and a transmitting unit configured to transmit information regarding a found waypoint and a route to the waypoint to a first information processing apparatus that is used by an occupant of the leading vehicle.

Electronic towing system and method for controlling route planning apparatus

A control device of a vehicle is configured to control travelling of the vehicle such that the vehicle follows a preceding vehicle based on information received from the preceding vehicle, and determine, based on information regarding a cargo space of the preceding vehicle, an inter-vehicle distance to the preceding vehicle when the vehicles stop. Upon the preceding vehicle having stopped, the device stops the vehicle such that a distance between the vehicle and the preceding vehicle becomes the inter-vehicle distance determined by the device.

Vehicle and control device of the same

A control device of a vehicle is provided. The device controls travelling of the vehicle such that the vehicle follows another vehicle based on information received from the other vehicle; and determines whether to allow the vehicle to start to follow another vehicle based on at least one of whether a user of the vehicle is inside the vehicle or an instruction from the user. The processor starts to follow another vehicle in a case where the travel control circuit is allowed to follow the other vehicle.

A damper housing includes an upper-wall-plate and an upper-wall-reinforcement-plate. A plurality of collars through which fastening members for attaching a damper are interposed between the upper-wall-plate and the upper-wall-reinforcement-plate. The collars are disposed on a circumference around the damper. An upper section of the damper is fastened and fixed to the upper-wall-reinforcement-plate and the upper-wall-plate by the fastening members. A concave section is formed in at least one of the upper-wall-plate and the upper-wall-reinforcement-plate which are facing each other, the concave section being formed so as to protrude toward the facing upper-wall-plate or the upper-wall-reinforcement-plate. The concave section is disposed between the neighboring collars on the circumference on which the collars are disposed. The upper-wall-plate and the upper-wall-reinforcement-plate are coupled to the facing upper-wall-plate or the upper-wall-reinforcement-plate at the concave section.

Damper housing for vehicle

A vehicle body front structure includes: a side frame extending in a front-rear direction in a front part of a vehicle body; a branch frame provided on a vehicle width direction outer side of the side frame; and a coupling member attached to and between the side frame and the branch frame. The branch frame has a rear end portion housed in the side frame and fixed to a vehicle width direction inner wall portion of the side frame. A ridgeline formed on the branch frame is aligned with a ridgeline formed on the inner wall portion of the side frame in the front-rear direction. A ridgeline formed on the coupling member is aligned with a ridgeline formed on an outer wall portion of the side frame in the front-rear direction.

Vehicle body front structure

A vehicle body front structure includes a front sub-frame configured such that a gear box is fitted to a front part of the front sub-frame, an arm portion extending from a front part of the front sub-frame forward and outward in a vehicle width direction, an impact absorbing portion supported by the arm portion, and a horn portion arranged on a front side of the impact absorbing portion.

A vehicle body structure includes: a pair of front side frames disposed on a front side of a vehicle to be in parallel with each other along a vehicle front-rear direction; lower members and gussets (load receiving portions) disposed at front ends in the vehicle front-rear direction of the front side frames so as to extend outward in a vehicle width direction; front wheels disposed outward in the vehicle width direction of the front side frames; and right and left side sills extending in the vehicle front-rear direction. Vehicle-width-direction outer end portions of the load receiving portions are positioned outward in the vehicle width direction of vehicle-width-direction inner end portions of the front wheels, and vehicle-width-direction outer end portions of the front wheels are positioned outward in the vehicle width direction of vehicle-width-direction inner end portions of front ends in the vehicle front-rear direction of the side sills.

Vehicle body structure

A vehicle body structure includes a dash lower panel, an outrigger, a dash cross member, and a side sill. A jack up stiffener having lower compressive strength against a load from the front than the side sill is installed inside the side sill. The outrigger is coupled to a front end part of the jack up stiffener. The dash cross member is coupled to a front end part of the side sill.

A vehicle body structure having an increased capability to absorb impact in a front end of a tunnel member. The vehicle body structure includes a dash lower panel, a dash cross member and the tunnel member. The dash cross member has a convex shape with a central portion located forward of both ends in the vehicle width direction in plan view. The tunnel member has a tunnel closed cross-sectional portion constituting a part of the central portion of the dash cross member, a front fragile portion provided forward of the tunnel closed cross-sectional portion, and a rear tunnel member provided rearward of the tunnel closed cross-sectional portion. The front fragile portion has a lower compressive strength than that of the rear tunnel member, against a load from the front.

A vehicle body structure includes a dash lower panel including a wheel-arch-shaped portion that constitutes a portion of a wheel arch and separating a power unit chamber from a vehicle interior, a reinforcing panel covering the wheel-arch-shaped portion from a side of the vehicle interior, and a side sill extending in a front-rear direction and having a front end portion connected to an end portion in a vehicle width direction of the dash lower panel. The reinforcing panel includes a horizontal closed cross-section defining portion that defines a closed cross-section extending in the vehicle width direction in combination with the wheel-arch-shaped portion and a vertical closed cross-section defining portion that defines a closed cross-section extending in a vertical direction in combination with the wheel-arch-shaped portion. The horizontal closed cross-section defining portion and the vertical closed cross-section defining portion intersect each other.

A vehicle body structure () is provided with: an exhaust pipe () disposed between a fuel container () and a right framework member () so as to extend in the front-rear direction of the vehicle body; and a slide member () provided to the framework side wall () of the right framework member (). The slide member () is provided to the portion () of the framework side wall (), which is overlapped by the fuel container () and a chamber () in the width direction of the vehicle. The slide member () has a slide slope section (). The slide slope section () is tilted inward in the width direction of the vehicle from the lower end () toward the upper end () so as to approach the fuel tank ().

A floor panel of a vehicle body is provided with bulging sections in which seats are disposed to the left and right of a tunnel section, and a rear tunnel cross member extending in the vehicle width direction at the rear ends of the bulging sections. The vehicle body is provided with left and right floor extensions set further toward the tunnel section along a dashboard lower relative to the front side frames, floor frames extending so as to span between the floor extensions and the rear tunnel cross member and having a predetermined distance in the vehicle body vertical direction from a rear floor panel, and an energy container placed below the bulging sections and supported on the floor frames. The floor frames are fixed to the vehicle body so as to be capable of being removed from the below the vehicle body.
