Based on further ingenuity, it is possible to support a heavy and large electric motor on an engine body with sufficient strength while driving the electric motor with a belt without slipping, thereby providing a more streamlined industrial hybrid engine. The industrial hybrid engine is provided with an endless rotation band wound around a drive pulley of a crankshaft and a motor pulley of an electric motor for motive power. The electric motor is attached to an engine case in a position-fixed state using one support bracket. The support bracket includes first and second support portions for attaching the electric motor, and attachment portions positioned between the first and second support portions for attaching the electric motor to the engine case.

Air intake amount measurement device and engine

In an industrial hybrid engine, an endless rotary band wound around a drive pulley of a crankshaft and a motor pulley of an electric motor for power is provided. The electric motor is attached to an engine body by using a support bracket. A tension mechanism is supported by the support bracket, the tension mechanism tensioning the endless rotary band in a direction in which the endless rotary band is stretched. A second support bracket that supports the electric motor separately from the support bracket is provided.

Provided is a tappet capable of supplying lubricating oil to a cam even when provided with a lash adjuster. A tappet () includes: a lash adjuster () having a plunger () and a body () in which the plunger () is housed so as to be vertically movable, wherein the plunger () has a top portion () against which a lower end portion of a push rod () slidably abuts; and a tappet body () which has an assembly hole () in which the body () is inserted, has a cup-like shape, and has a lower surface portion () which slidingly contacts a cam (). The tappet body () has an oil guide passage () extending so as to guide lubricating oil from the push rod () side to the cam ().

Tappet

In a tappet with a built-in lash adjuster, hydraulic oil is prevented from leaking from a low pressure chamber during a long-period stop. A tappet () includes a hydraulic lash adjuster () which supports a lower end portion of a push rod () and a tappet case () to which the lash adjuster () is internally fitted and which is reciprocally displaced in a vertical direction according to a rotating cam (). An inner peripheral surface of the tappet case () is provided with an air-vent passage () through which air existing between the tappet case () and the lash adjuster () can be discharged upward when the lash adjuster () is being assembled.

An engine comprises a timer (), which is provided with a temperature-sensing operation mechanism (). During a cold-starting term, a downstream interlocking portion () advances by an advancing operation of the timer () based on an operation that the temperature-sensing operation mechanism () makes upon sensing the temperature. While the engine is warm, the downstream interlocking portion () cancels an advancement by an advancement-cancellation operation of the timer () based on another operation that the temperature-sensing operation mechanism () makes upon sensing the temperature. The engine oil () within the engine is supplied from the oil-supply port () to the timer (), thereby enabling the engine oil () in liquid state to contact the temperature-sensing operation mechanism ().
