A semiconductor device includes a heat sink, an integrated component in which a ceramic terminal having a microstrip line and a matching circuit are integrated into one unit, a lead fixed to the ceramic terminal, a matching substrate fixed to the heat sink, a semiconductor chip fixed to the heat sink, a plurality of wires configured to connect the matching circuit and the matching substrate and to connect electrically the matching substrate and the semiconductor chip, a frame configured to surround the matching substrate and the semiconductor chip in a plan view, and a cap provided on the frame.

A thermoplastic resin foam which has both high reflectance and superior shape-retention properties, suitable for use in backlights and illumination boxes for illumination signboards, lighting fixtures, displays and the like. The thermoplastic resin foam is manufactured by a manufacturing method including a procedure for holding a resin sheet composed of thermoplastic resin (A) and thermoplastic resin (B), which has a functional group having an affinity with thermoplastic resin (A), within a pressurized inert gas atmosphere to enable the resin sheet to contain inert gas, and a procedure for foaming by heating the resin sheet containing inert gas at a temperature higher than the softening temperature of thermoplastic resin, under normal pressure.

Providing a car navigation apparatus which can always detect a position of a car with high accuracy, and can obtain traffic information in a practical manner. The car navigation apparatus according to the present invention obtains the DGPS correction data from a base station nearest the car in two-way radio communication instead of obtaining the DGPS correction data by receiving the FM broadcasting. Accordingly, the current position of the car can always be detected with high accuracy. Furthermore, the car navigation apparatus according to the present invention obtains traffic information by having access to a traffic information providing system in two-way radio communication instead of obtaining traffic information by receiving the FM broadcasting. So, the car navigation apparatus can obtain traffic information near the current position selectively or according to the priority. Accordingly, the car navigation apparatus can promptly obtain traffic information when necessary, and can obtain necessary traffic information promptly.

A shock resistant recording and/or reproducing apparatus for disc recording media is disposed in a passenger compartment of an automobile at a predetermined angle of inclination. The recording and/or reproducing apparatus includes a housing, a recording and/or reproducing portion, and an elastic supporting mechanism. The housing is arranged at an angle of inclination between a horizontal state and a vertical state. The recording and/or reproducing portion is accomodated in the housing and performs recording and/or reproducing for recording media. The elastic supporting mechanism elastically supports the recording and/or reproducing portion so that the recording and/or reproducing portion can move by a predetermined distance relative to the housing.
