High specificity monoclonal antibody against a protein or a polypeptide having oxidative modification

A novel protein and a fragment thereof useful as a tumor marker of pancreatic cancer are disclosed. This protein or a fragment thereof is a modified &#x3b1;-fibrinogen protein containing an oxidized amino acid residue(s) or a fragment thereof containing said oxidized amino acid residue(s). The oxidized amino acid residue(s) is one or more amino acid residues selected from the group consisting of (a) a proline residue corresponding to the proline residue at the position of 530 in SEQ ID NO: 2, and (b) a proline residue corresponding to the proline residue at the position of 565 in SEQ ID NO: 2.
