An image forming apparatus includes a drive source that generates a driving force, an image forming object on which an electrostatic latent image is to be formed and that includes a rotatable shaft extending therethrough and rotates with the driving force that is input to one end of the rotatable shaft, and an extracting member that is provided at another end of the rotatable shaft of the image forming object and extracts, from the rotatable shaft, a driving force to be transmitted to a driven member excluding the image forming object.

A powder feed device includes a casing having an opening for receiving a powder from a powder housing portion housing the powder, at least an inner side of the casing having a cylindrical shape; a transport member that is arranged in the casing, extends in a powder transport direction, and rotates and transports the powder to the fed body; and a shutter member that is arranged at a closed position for closing the opening, receives a force from the transport member by its rotation, and moves to an open position for opening the opening. The transport member includes a transport portion that contributes to the powder transport, and a non-transport portion that does not contribute to the powder transport, and handles the movement of the shutter member to the open position. The shutter member moves to the open position when receiving an effect of the non-transport portion.

An image forming apparatus includes a holding part that holds a detachable constituent component so that the detachable component is displaced to a detachment operating position and primary and secondary mounting completed positions as a result of link with opening/closing operations of an opening/closing part, and a connection part that is provided on the opening/closing part and in which a guide groove is formed which guides a projecting portion provided on the holding part. The guide groove of the connection part includes a narrow portion through which the projecting portion is caused to pass while the detachable constituent component is being displaced from the detachment operating position to the primary or secondary mounting completed position. The narrow portion has a groove width which is narrower than an outer dimension of the projecting portion.
