A tread pattern of a pneumatic tire includes an inner circumferential main groove and an outer circumferential main groove that have groove walls extending in a tire circumferential direction while the angle of the groove walls relative to a contact surface varies with a predetermined amplitude, an inner lug groove extending from the inner circumferential main groove toward the outer circumferential main groove, an outer lug groove extending from the outer circumferential main groove toward the inner circumferential main groove, and a sipe configured to communicate the inner lug groove with the outer lug groove. A pair of chamfered surfaces are provided on walls of the sipe along an extension direction of the sipe on the contact surface.

Provided is a pneumatic tire having an innerliner member pasted on a tire inner circumferential surface, the innerliner member being constituted from an at least three-layer structure including a film having a main component of a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer, and rubber sheets layered on both sides of the film, the tire comprising a lap splice portion in which tire circumferential direction end portions of the film are overlapped via the rubber sheets. In the lap splice portion, the thickness of the film positioned at least on the tire radial direction inner side decreases toward the tip of the end portion thereof, and this tip bends toward the outer side or the inner side in the tire radial direction, and the tip is covered by the rubber sheets.

The pneumatic tire includes a tread pattern having a land portion sandwiched between tire circumferential grooves. A groove area ratio of the tread pattern is different between areas on opposite sides with reference to a tire center line in a tire width direction. A first side has the larger groove area ratio and a second side has the smaller groove area ratio respectively. The land portion is protruding outward in a tire radial direction and the land portion has edge portions bordering the tire circumferential grooves and formed by groove walls of the tire circumferential grooves sandwiching the land portion and a surface of the land portion. A drop length of the edge portion facing to the first side from a most protruding point of the land portion along the tire radial direction is longer than a drop length of the edge portion facing to the second side.

A pneumatic tire including five land portions in a tread surfaceby providing four main grooves in a ground contact region of the tread surface, wherein positions and groove widths of the main grooves are specified together with only one land portion positioned outermost on a vehicle outer side when mounted on a vehicle being formed into a block row, and the other land portions being formed into ribs, and a groove area proportion of the tread surface is larger on a vehicle inner side than the vehicle outer side with a tire equator and center lines of some of the land portions as boundaries.
